Newest member here. My WD is in very nice shape cosmetically, but when both flippers are pressed, the power turns of and back on again. Ive heard about the br2, cap 5 solution.
Does anyone have any less difficult tests/fixes i could try?

Don't just start replacing stuff until you actually know what the cause of the issue is.
