I have noticed what seems to be a superfluous black rubber band obstructing an area just to the right of the boulder garden. It came this way when I bought the machine. Can anyone verify that it’s not supposed to be there? Thanks for any help.

This prevents it from going down towards the right outlane, and diverts all balls exiting the boulder garden towards the flippers.
I was just wondering if this is something that is commonly placed there by owners to prevent more drains, as I know the right outlane is evil. I assume it didn’t come from the factory that way. I’m thinking about removing it.
