You wont shoot that bulb, never happened on mine, and i had some hard-pinners on it

Quoted from chalkup8:A non pinball machine head ( cousin) was over for a visit and asked how many WH02 were still out there.
I said,umm....well they built 7000 of them 20 years ago.I reckon about 1500 might be complete and or working.
Looking at the owners and the pinside map for a rough guide.I think it's more like 800 to 900.
Sorry,I am a little bit fascinated by the vagueness of surviving pinball titles.
Friend of mine has 3 WH2O's (???) and he is not on pinside :/
Quoted from Mattman55:Does anyone recommend changing the Lost Mine kickout coil from a AE-23-800 to a weaker coil AE-23-1200?
Well if you have problems with it beeing overpowered (can't control the ball) why not?
(think 1200 will just spit it out with not enough umpff, choose in the middle )
Quoted from Mattman55:Has anyone had a problem with the whirlpool challenges having a delay before they start the mode?
Is the VUK-opto clean ? working?
Quoted from Mattman55:I believe it works because it still engages the modes, just every couple games it will delay the mode start. Any suggestions on cleaning or verifying it works?
Cleaning the sender and receiver opto by using some alcohol on a q-tip works wonders
See if they are still aligned properly. Look at the solder-points, not cracked or dull looking, if so reflow.
Quoted from Mattman55:Could it possibly be the ball through switch before it gets to the whirlpool?
Ball through switches should only activate when balls enter the through and when a ball is transported to the shooterlane..... so no
Quoted from pinster68:Anyone know where I can get a new speaker panel? Anybody making repros for these?
Is yours missing, or looking for better quality?
Quoted from Blackbeard:Well drove 2.5 hours one way to see a White Water. Saw pics first, looked nice.
After phone talks with seller, I go see it: DMD completely gassing out, planked, cracked plastics, ramps, topper was beat up.. etc etc. Credit dot too.
"oh.. the display is fine once it warms up".
All things not told to me prior. I even asked about this stuff. I really had to bite my tongue.
Seller would've let it go for $3300. LOL!!!!
I passed and drove home... another 2.5 hours.
SO If anyone's got any leads.. still looking.
Well you took the right descision to walk away.
Often extended trips gets you in a mood of "ahh, well those few flaws ...."
Then back home you really regret buying this, while you wanted a nice one.
Good for you!
Quoted from Blackbeard:Got another lead.. going in tomorrow night......
This one looks promising...
Keep you posted!!
Keep it cool!
If it's not what you really want, walk away, like the other day, be smart!
Good luck
C'mon Blackbeard, share some pics !!
We accompanied you through your quest
Let's see the result of your hunt
Quoted from Blackbeard:Only pic so far. She's still in my jeep
Sjeesh, still in the Jeep ?
I now question your motivation and dedication, Sir !!
Quoted from urbanledge:Yep. I'm embarrassed!
Switch was registering but not registering when the ball was resting,
All sorted now.
embarrassed?
With a tip from here you fixed it yourself.
You should be proud!!
Quoted from Fifty:This is the reponse she gave me, that means 1 more right?
Let her do that with two hands....means 11 !!
Full shot, all around the mini-pf down the ramp.
It must be some sort of skilled shot to keep it from going all the way down.
Quoted from Aurich:Full plunge should go all the way around, you need to make a skillful partial plunge to properly hit the upper playfield. Some lazy people cheat and put in a weak spring.
Just had me a Deja Vu
Quoted from urbanledge:I dont know why anyone would give £20 for this?
Whats the difference between this and a led strip?
I don't know the difference, but here is a picture with just a yellow LED-strip
WH2O_PF-LEDstrip_(resized).JPG
And one without overhead lights nor flash.
Quoted from yzfguy:It's "kind of" the missing mountain.
That's because it's not missing anymore ...
Quoted from fiberdude120:That just plain sucks moose.
Note to self : American Monkey Balls translate to Canadian Moose, check!
Quoted from TheLaw:Nice! Now get out that torch and shine up them ramps
He said 'shine up them ramps' not 'bubble-up them ramps'
Quoted from fiberdude120:I cringed
Looking at your avatar... cringing was not the first thing that came to mind
Absolutly gorgeous looking machine MokThemagicman !! Tip at the hat to you
Have to ask ... where did you find that raft with the peddler, just the right size and look
Quoted from yzfguy:Pinblades in!
Looks like it belongs there by design! Congrats!
Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:Yup, same here. Takes a minute to ship as it comes from Holland, but a no brainier for the price.
Coming from Holland .... ?
When i try to buy one it says "Will NOT ship to The Netherlands" haha
Quoted from TKDalumni:Should you be able to backhand spine chiller?
From a cradle it is a makeable shot
Quoted from Whitewater:OMG not this debate again
Looking at your screenname, we know where you stand in this ....
Quoted from PinDeLaPin:some others are very opinionated on the blue lights in the whirlpool topic.
Realy?
What expression tops "first world problems" ?
Quoted from GCS2000:Anyone have a lost mountain mod they want to sell?
That bare hole looks bad and now that I have lit my mountains in the back from underneath that whole area is lit as well and you see blank space and wires.
Something to consider, light it from above, orange slightly dim, looks great. (no problem with lit wires)
Good luck searching a lost mountain
Quoted from Lermods:Is there any particular reason why my coindoor interface board has no header pins at J5? I tested 12vpower and ground and both register. If there's no reason it's missing, I'll solder in a header and use the 12v for a mod.
I have a few who have the header and some who don't.
You can solder a header in to use it, (done that myself )
Quoted from PinDeLaPin:Just a question pertaining to this issue that I was wondering about. Soldering in a header pin where the factory didn't add one and then using that as a power lead would that cause a higher draw and potentially lead to fuses being blown on that particular circuit? Or is it already rated for that additional draw but Williams just didn't feel the need to add that other header pin during production run?
Everything you add to a circuit will draw more, thats why people with many electronic mods add an external powersupply.
When that header is not needed in a specific game, it will reduce costs.
Adding a LED-strip or something similar will not cause any problems (YMMV)
Quoted from Kawydud:Full fledged member this week.
Welcome! Great choice
I see LED on the chaselight topper, GE194 14volt 0.27amp 10mm wedgelamp are the ones great for the waterfall effect
Quoted from Kneissl:Jeez. I was kinda bummed with cpr after fish tales with the bad shooter lane AND they never replied to my email asking if they had a recommended work around. Micro doesn’t sound much different.
Not only the case with playfield manufacturers.
Respected mod maker, very responsive pre-sales .... dead-silent post-sales (after some issues)
Seems to be the new norm
Quoted from mbeardsley:It would be interesting to see a list of when people bought their WH20 (and price/condition), just to see how it has changed over the years. I will start off...
January 2005 Very nice condition, all complete with topper, only blemish lost-mine drop spot, for 700 Euro.
(That was just before the Dutchies picked-up on the American prices )
Quoted from BentleyBear:Could it be the microswitch that i need to replace ?
Think so, and a good oportunity to up your solder game
Quoted from Wade:I gave up my nice WH20 a few years ago for $1500, and when looking for a new game now, I keep coming back to WH20.
Me thinks you have to pony up a little bit more second time around
Quoted from Frogroar:Quick ROM question: do I need to worry about changing security chips etc. when upgrading from LH-4 to LH-5 or LH-6?
Thanks!
Nope
Quoted from PinballGalore:My game has started making weird sounds during attract mode,
First step, for me, would be reseat all the connectors and ribbon-cables.
Quoted from MiniPinHead:New YouBentMyWookie WH2O apron cards installed in a WH2O apron... on carpet
Pitty you did not take the picture a little higher...
I bet that rug, uhhh carpet, really ties the room together
