Hello everybody !
I will see a WH2O for sale on Friday.
I'm searching this game since a long time... and it could be the end of a long waiting time.

What are the major points to check on this game?
I know that boulders are broken. I will replace them.
The battery have been moved out of the card so no acid problem.
That's all I know...

It will be my first DOT, and my second pinball (first one is Space Shuttle). I'm excited... and afraid in the same time.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Quoted from bobukcat:

Playfield can have planking, insert wear and wear at the lost mine kickout (a sticker to cover this wear is sold). Wear from the ball dropping on the upper playfield is also common. Of course the topper is a big item especially since no one has figured out how to reproduce one.

Thanks a lot for your fast answer, and thank you for all your advice.
Yes, the topper can't be reproduce. That was "heliophore" technic from Louis Dufay but it's impossible to do it in 2022...

Hello everybody !
That's done, whitewater is in my home after 2 years of hard search.

The game is in really good working conditions.
Just need a strong cleaning and elastics replacement to play perfectly.

I have just some "strange" parts on bumper and on some targets.

Picture 1: something is missing on right side (and also on left side). Certainly a screw and something else... could you confirm ?

Picture 2: not the good color of targets

Picture 3: not the good color for one target

For those 2 pictures, could you tell me the good way to replace the plastic part of the target ? What is the reference of the rivet ?

Picture 3: not the good bumper caps. Could you tell me the référence of the missig screws and how the boulder plastics are fixed ?

It could look as details for you, but France is a metric type screw country...

Thanks un advance for your help.

Quoted from Pinkitten:

Congrats on your game! A good topside tear down (take lots of pictures!), cleaning and waxing is a great start. WH2O is a pin you can easily spend $2-3k quickly on rehab, but it’s also SO tempting to restore this pin. All the boulders can be replaced with new (so they match), ramps, plastics, etc. I would suggest replacing all your rubber rings with either a kit, or buy a couple boxes of assorted clear rings from Pinball Life (easier for people here in the states). Install new pop bumper caps (I like the transparent blue), and order new correct standup targets as depicted in the photos above by Zartan. You can get the 2 green ones for the lite/lock targets, 5 blue for RIVER, 2 white for hot foot, 3 red for lite kickback, and one amber for extra ball. It’s expensive, but even the cleaning, wax and rubber rings will really help. Good luck and have fun! Post before-after pics.

Thank you for all your advices.
Today I have clean the all the playfield and parts.
And also replace all rubber rings and all the dead lamps.
That' really better.

I have a question: how does the knocker works ?
On mine, it was working but it doesn't work anymore since few hours.
The solenoid test is ok, so I don't understand...

All the game is ok, except the knocker

EDIT : Problem solved. The knocker works only if replay is set with "credit".
Knocker doesn't work if replay is set with extraball.

Hello everybody,

Where can I buy quality green targets ?
I bought a set 2 months ago and they are already broken.
I don't want to spent my time and money with poor quality spare parts.

Do you know if it is possible to replace only the green plastic part of the target ?

Thank you in advance

#7161 1 year ago

Thanks a lot.
It looks great but shipping costs are 3 times the price of the 2 targets. It's hard !

I'm working on an alternate skull mod.
Look like a bigfoot head !

First prototype in place on the picture above.
Second prototype is in progress.

I try to built an complete mod with skull on "noway out", a bridge on "spine chiller" and a sort of missing mountain under "insanity falls".

I would send zene10 a PM. He made the mod and might know how the power works
Does anyone have an extra decal for covering up wear near the Lost Mine kick out? Or anyone have an experience with them and can comment on them?
[quoted image]

I have put one, 2 months ago.
Not entire because some colors were totally wrong or geometry not perfect. You are a boss if the white "T" match perfectly the playfield. So I took only the area I needed.
And now, 2 months after, this little overlay is totally destroy.

Did you put a piece of clear mylar over it after stickering? (...)

No, that's certainly my mistake.

I have experienced the bonus vacation several times.

During the entire game (not on just one ball), you have to:
- finish the 6 boulder bonus
- reach class IV river one time
- visit wet willys (not necessary finish)
- and after that, start a multiball.

My best way to achieve is:
1) quickly achieve the 6 boulder bonus and during the whirlpool challenge (2 balls in play), obtain the river classe IV before doing whirlpools. To do that, I put the 2 balls in "no way out" and I let them return to the lightning right inlane. So you mark 2 letters each time. Keep concentrated because the river class is reset if you lose the 2 balls !
As long as you are not to Wet Willys, you can do the bonus garden. So don't follow the orange arrows at the beginning of the game. If you reach Wet Willys before finish the boulder, you will need to finish the entire Wet Willys sequence before continuing the boulder bonus.

2) after that, follow the orange arrows to go to "Wet Willys"

3) when you are in "Wet Willis", start a multiball.*

=> bonus vacation !!!!!

* first multiball is quite easy to start , the second is harder and the third more. So do your best to not touch the 2 green targets before arriving to Wet Willys.

Quoted from PinDeadHead:

Is anyone able to please share how to replace a broken target face?
Thx[quoted image]

No idea about the way to replace only the green plastic cover. It's certainly possible because I already saw the plastic and the rivet for sale.

Recently, I bought that and it looks strong :

Quoted from radium:

I am attempting to draw this part for reproduction. Maybe someone can get me to the finish line. Can someone provide the measurements specified in red in the image?

Please find 2 pictures.
Hope it helps.

Be carreful, this is metric system measurement.
