Quoted from smiley:

anywhere that sells automotive 194 bulbs, even walmart.

So would something like this work? I also just joined the club. Got an absolute knockout. HEP!

can someone confirm the correct coils for the flippers on this game? I know what they are per the manual (left and right are the same) but I'm also hearing that might be a misprint? Can someone confirm?

#3070 5 years ago

so I mistakenly bought this coil from marco. anyone know if this will still work (orange mid range - left bottom flipper). Apparently there is FL-15411 and the one I bought FL1-15411

https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/FL1-15411

#3072 5 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

It's the exact same coil just diff prongs for slide on connectors.

Thanks but I'm not home with the machine. I doubt this machine uses slide on connectors. Can I still solder the wires onto these?

Just wondering if I need to cancel these and buy the non slide on ones....

#3075 5 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

Yes that's what I'm saying, it's the exact same coil.

OK - I won't order new ones. I'll just solder directly to this one even though it has diff prongs. thanks for the help.

#3080 5 years ago

has anyone put the orange (medium power) coil on their right bottom flipper too? I almost feel like both of them can be orange!! Top right one too....

#3083 5 years ago

I noticed these 194 bulbs come in a Long Life (LL) version. Would those work still or do you need the standard ones?

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BJEZEL6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

Edit - I'll just get the normal ones

#3097 5 years ago

is there anyway to control the speed of the flicker of the bottom lights that illuminate the topper?

#3100 5 years ago

OK - I ask b/c my lights work but seem to flash fast then slow and I like fast. I am using the Long life 194s but ordered the standard to see if that makes a diff. The faster the better the effect IMO.

#3102 5 years ago

I bought these - I think they are right 194 incod but they are long life which might be causing it. Ordered 194 from marco and will replace them.

#3105 5 years ago

BTW I love this damn game. How did I overlook for so long

#3108 5 years ago
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

Too bad GLM has gone the way of AOL and MySpace.....

So is it not available if you want to buy it?

#3110 5 years ago

OK - so now I need some help with the topper. I bought brand new 194s from marco. Turned on and it was perfect. After 10 min the blinking started to slow and now the topper isn't as impressive. All lights work but not blinking fast. Is there something going on here? Anything I should check first? Lights are very hot after turning it off. They still work but the effect is limited b/c blinking is slow on some or none at all. Thanks!

Video of the slower blinking:

Video of when I first put in the new 194 (older 194s were Long lasting and prior to that I believe might have been LED but didn't burn out)....this is when it worked!

Maybe it's not getting enough power?

EDIT - prob chase lamp board. I'm going to have it serviced....

#3112 5 years ago
Quoted from Whitewater:

How does the light chase board look. Top right inside back box. Check back of board for any burnt out components.
Good luck

yep - I believe that's it. Getting repaired now....will report back.

#3113 5 years ago

wanted to get everyones thoughts on what inner blades to get. This one:

ebay.com link: WHITEWATER Pinball Inner Cab Decal Set Mod White Water

Or this one:

I'm thinking #2......

EDIT - buying #2.....

#3115 5 years ago
Quoted from Jam_Burglar:

I agree that seems like the best place to look. Nice topper! I don't see any bubbles.

thanks - there is a very minor wrinkle but the topper is really stunning. It's a HEP restore and the new nicest pin I've ever owned and I only like nice pins. I'll take some pics too - such a great look game in general and hard to find in very good quality (not just a "nice" one).

#3118 5 years ago

Thanks guys -

btw noticed these white covers on the sling screws in this video - do you know where he got them from?

#3121 5 years ago
Quoted from JimFNB:

Looks like a screw cap. Should be available at any hardware store or big box home center --
e.g., https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hillman-1-4-in-x-1-4-in-White-Plastic-End-Cap/3012662

Nice thanks!

#3123 5 years ago
Quoted from Cserold:

Sweet. Chris did a WH2O for me as well. Curious...what color did he paint inside of cabinet and the metal piece at top of back box? Did he do black or blue on yours? Very nice topper indeed!

black

#3125 5 years ago
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

This game is kicking my tail...the cave kickout is hitting the metal ball guide and sending ball directly to bounce out. No chance of getting the right flipper on it to try and control. Only strategy I have now is to “bump” the game forward, with hopes of getting the ball up to the river targets on kick outs. That’s fine when it’s just one ball and I can focus. But when multiballs are going, it shuts them down in a hurry with drains down the bounce back.
Any suggestions? Where is that cave kickout supposed to be going to?

Put a piece of foam in b/w the coil spring and coil for the kickout underneath the table and it will change the trajectory. You can move the foam around it make it thicker for more resistance

Some white water pinball porn.....

#3132 5 years ago
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

Like this?[quoted image]

Yes stronger the foam weaker the output of kicker

#3134 5 years ago
Quoted from Blitzburgh99:

Any other cave kickout tips as I wrap this up and give the game a few test games?

Nope.

How much tension should the shooter have? Mine has a good amount. Feel like the shot is a little easier that way? Anyone else?

#3142 5 years ago
Quoted from Sciddleybop1980:

Yes he’s a UK seller. Judge Dreads Pinball. Im not a huge modder but this is a must have on WH20.
Whilst you’re ordering from him you should also get the rafts and mountain lighting strip.

Do you think it blocks too much though? I was thinking about it but it does block some of the ramp etc

#3158 5 years ago

so my dumb question of the day....

can anyone tell me if this is an original power drive board or Rottendog? I don't see the name anywhere and I've never owned a rottendog before but also never owned a HEP restored game before.

when did this white mountain mod theme become a reality? It doesn't seem to be in line with the feel of the pin - I'm just wondering who created it?

#3240 5 years ago

how do you make the skill shot harder on the plunger? Maybe change out the plunger spring? Mine seems too easy right now (I'm not very good!) - pressure is pretty tight so I'm thinking a loose feel would be harder.

Anyone that has it working really well know the spring or setup they can share? Thanks
