Quoted from webdiddy:When I was replacing the Q48 Transistor I see that it have been replaced before, I decided to replace it again. The board is now mounted in the backbox and still NOTHING!!!!
Any other advice? I really want to get the center bumper fixed, I hardly get any bumper action without it.
Did you replace both transistors? You should get into the habit of replacing both. There is a secondary one that is associated with Q48. Do the suggested method above as well.
Another new mod surfaced

$10...why not. I will post some pics when they come in.
Actually, I forgot about the raft and skull mountain mod. Whoops!! :0 Maybe I can find another spot for them. If not someone gets a Christmas present on me.
When I replaced the old ramps the whirlpool added an extra three to four seconds from spinning in the whirlpool. The subway ramp under should only take about two seconds from exiting the whirlpool. I would check to see if a screw is loose under playfield that is reducing the decline.
The whirlpool isn't connected it just drops down onto the subway ramp. Should take about two seconds to kick out from lost mine after falling. Mine was not secured on one side and ended up being level. Once I tightened the left screw the angle fixed this issue. Some stuff was unsecured after bringing mine home.
If he shopped it out at one time he may have not put the ramps on correct. They could be seated a little bit high. When you tear it down it should resolve this problem. My dirty ramps spun less then the new ones. I do not think three to five seconds is a lot...more then that may be the ramp positioning or level.
I always have to adjust the Disaster Drop switch. Sometimes the ball get stuck on it if it passes s l o w l y.
Quoted from Blackbeard:Guys: what are you all using for the lights around the whirlpool? Mine has blue leds installed, and they look good. Just wondering what else may look neat.
I don't think reds look good here even though it's original. What about warm white leds?
What are you guys using?
Blues. I also put two blues on the spot rivers, and river targets. New players seem to understand this setup better to advance class.
