Quoted from dmacy:Domestic on most pins of this era should be “usually” the two coin slots. Exports were 3 or 1. So most here in the US would prefer to have the two slot. But you can get the 2 slot front (3D printed however unless they’re being reproduced again) and convert a three slot to two on the front side.

Is this always the case? I have a friend who owns a wh20 he bought from a dentist who bought it NIB. On the inside of the cabinet it has the serial number and the title and then it says 3 slot. This game was sold in the USA and has the 3 slot coin door on it which is why I was inquiring. Wasnt sure if some of the 3 slot doors were maybe built to go overseas and didnt quite make it.

More likely it was supposed to go overseas and didn't make it... it happen with a few pins i have owned. The correct domestic coin door for wh20.is the 2 slot split one.

Is there any clear way to know if the game is a reimport? Some kind of markings or do they put an import stamp on the machine somewhere? Otherwise how would someone know if they were buy a machine that was reimported? Thks

#3655 5 years ago

If you look at serial number sticker inside of cab it shows the voltage. European games are listed at 220 volts. North American games are at 115 or 120 volts. If you're in USA and your sticker shows 220 volts then you have a reimport.

Good to know going forward thank you guys for you answers.

These are the best side blades imo, they match the ramps exactly with the rocks.

I was looking into getting some side blades like these but was wondering if you really have to watch raising and lowering the playfield. Wasnt sure if they scratch or tear easily and they sure arent cheap either for just being a sticker. Theres really no reason they should cost more than $30-$40 imo. But I digress, what are everyones thoughts on them, worth it or not?

If you are going to put art blades on your games—especially whitewater because it’s such a tight fit—I highly recommend these protectors from pinball life.

I have a plaque on mine from japan. From what I heard, it went from the US, to Germany, to Japan, and then Canada. I bought it outside of Toronto and brought it back to the US.

Wow that game racked up some serious frequent flyer miles.

Do you know what these protectors are made of? Whitewater is the tightest fit of all my games. I use poster board as a protector when I lift the playfield and still have some damage.

Honestly, it would have been a hell of a lot easier if they just delivered it directly to my house, instead of doing a lap around the world.

#3666 5 years ago

When my Yeti turns, it's started squeaking. I lifted the playfield hoping it would be obvious which metal pieces need a little lube but the area/mechs look complicated. Anyone have experience with this?

#3667 5 years ago

Having a very good, not really great game. No double or triple jackpots and no 5x playfield on white water jackpots...made it to Wet Willie’s. Hit the No Way Out shot and game shuts down like a game resetting issue....then BAM! Vacation Jackpot starts!!!! Wooohooo!!! My third VJ since the game has been in the collection in June. This game is a real adrenaline rush when it’s all cranked up. My third highest score to date.

I’ve owned wh20 for about three years and never had a VJ. Man I suck. I have posted a billion point score but that was all down to 5x playfield jackpots. I will get it one day..... oh yes I will

I've had my wh20 for a year and still never got the vacation jackpot either. Love this game and plan on keeping it so I will keep trying.

I’m not sure what the exact material is. It is some type of hard plastic and seems to do its job very well.

I need some help...I just got another Vacation Jackpot today...that’s 2 in two days. I’m pretty sure I’m not that good.

I am running ROM LH-5. Is there a bug or something in that ROM set? I ran the River Level up to 6 on first ball by focusing exclusively on doing just that, using multiballs to move rafts and river letters. I had an extra ball. When I drained, the Extra Ball was served and River was still at 6. When I drained the extra ball and ball 2 was served, I expected river to be back to 1. The inserts on the playfield showed back to start of river. But the DMD Vacation Planner had River 6 still completed. I think I had a Bonus Hold somewhere between ball 1, extra ball, and ball 2.

Does anyone know how river 6 can be held over or kept?

You only have to reach level 6 River once in the game for it to stay lit for VJ. The bonus held keeps the river at the same level from one ball to the next, whixh make it easier to get the the 6th level.
I believe the OG software you had to hit river 6 on the same ball with everything for VJ... Like you still have to with multiball

#3676 5 years ago

I'm running lightning flippers.. Got close to vj maybe 3 times.

No, on most (all?) ROMS you always had to only get to River Class 6 on any ball for it to count for Vacation Jackpot. While it's possible that on some very early ROMS that you had to get it on the same ball as when you lock the 3rd ball, but that has NOT been true since at least version 3 (and probably earlier).

The Version 6 Home ROMS made it a bit easier to get to Class 6, since you can get a Bonus Hold that will carry the river class over to the next ball, but it didn't change the Vacation Jackpot requirement.

On Versions 5 and earlier the "Bonus Hold" didn't actually do anything at all. It would say that you had earned it, but it did not actually affect the score in any way. Version 6 made the Bonus Hold actually functional.

That's weird that the River Class held on an extra ball but possible I guess. I haven't played L-5 in years. But yeah, as others said you only need to hit Class 6 once during the game to check off that vacation jackpot requirement. Also, on L-5 you may get the DMD telling you the River Class will be held but it doesn't actually hold the River Class. This was a bug that LH-6 fixed. I actually prefer the L-5 roms except for that bug so when I run LH-6 I turn off the ball save. I wish I could turn off the end-game light show too but it won't let you do that. We need LH-7!

Could someone please tell me where I can find the switch for the "right jet arena"?

#3684 5 years ago
Quoted from webdiddy:

That may be the switch to the right of the pop bumpers. There is usually a rubber blocking the ball from getting up in there connecting two of the pop bumpers.

Number 55.

Yes. Switch 55 can cause problems. If the machine has not been maintained, it can be stuck shut, causing matrix problems.
Drove me insane.

Other's have had the same issue. See six months ago:

Thanks guys, I found it.
I'm guessing it has not been hit in a while. There's a post just behind the jet, is it supposed to be there?

Yes, but most people have removed it. Apparently it was done to prevent a lot of drains out the outlane, but most here have said it’s been negligible and more pop bumper action with it out.

I’m missing this ramp support. Looks to be a plastic spacer post. Not finding it in the manual or searches here. Can anyone confirm what type and length the post is?

Thank you!
