I bought these - I think they are right 194 incod but they are long life which might be causing it. Ordered 194 from marco and will replace them.

Yes, there is a way, with upgraded PCB by GLM.

No, I don't think he's responded to anyone in a long time.
OK - so now I need some help with the topper. I bought brand new 194s from marco. Turned on and it was perfect. After 10 min the blinking started to slow and now the topper isn't as impressive. All lights work but not blinking fast. Is there something going on here? Anything I should check first? Lights are very hot after turning it off. They still work but the effect is limited b/c blinking is slow on some or none at all. Thanks!
Video of the slower blinking:
Video of when I first put in the new 194 (older 194s were Long lasting and prior to that I believe might have been LED but didn't burn out)....this is when it worked!
Maybe it's not getting enough power?
EDIT - prob chase lamp board. I'm going to have it serviced....

How does the light chase board look. Top right inside back box. Check back of board for any burnt out components.
Good luck

I agree that seems like the best place to look. Nice topper! I don't see any bubbles.

thanks - there is a very minor wrinkle but the topper is really stunning. It's a HEP restore and the new nicest pin I've ever owned and I only like nice pins. I'll take some pics too - such a great look game in general and hard to find in very good quality (not just a "nice" one).

Yep, mine (was) a very low play and extremely nice survivor. Now it has a lot more plays but is still extremely nice
Thanks guys -
btw noticed these white covers on the sling screws in this video - do you know where he got them from?

Sweet. Chris did a WH2O for me as well. Curious...what color did he paint inside of cabinet and the metal piece at top of back box? Did he do black or blue on yours? Very nice topper indeed!

This game is kicking my tail...the cave kickout is hitting the metal ball guide and sending ball directly to bounce out. No chance of getting the right flipper on it to try and control. Only strategy I have now is to “bump” the game forward, with hopes of getting the ball up to the river targets on kick outs. That’s fine when it’s just one ball and I can focus. But when multiballs are going, it shuts them down in a hurry with drains down the bounce back.
Any suggestions? Where is that cave kickout supposed to be going to?

Put a piece of foam in b/w the coil spring and coil for the kickout underneath the table and it will change the trajectory. You can move the foam around it make it thicker for more resistance
Quick update for anyone that has been following my issues with Pinsound 1 board in WH2O. It dawned on me that I had a factory pinsound board (with factory firmware) sitting in an IJ back box that I restored...still waiting on finishing rest of game. I took this board with the old firmware and put in WH2O using the latest sound package from pinsound website. It worked like a charm. To make sure the board I had in WH2O wasn't bad, I put that board into my Fish Tales and it worked like a champ in there.
Summary: Do NOT put a Pinsound 1 board in a WH2O unless you are using a firmware at least older than the last 2 (maybe 3) releases. I don't know for sure about the newer Pinsound+ board (I at least know of one other pinsider that is successfully using Pinsound+ board with no issues on the previous firmware version)

Standard fix is to drop a slightly less powerful coil in the VUK. one coil down in power will put it on the flipper. Your issue is common. If there was more play in the mounting you could turn the VUK slightly clockwise but there isn't clearance to do that.

I put a lower power coil in mine but it's still set up in a way that causes a lot of randomness. A lot of people have it feed directly to the flipper which is pretty lame in my opinion. The game was designed to make that a tough catch. The main problem with the original coil is that it kicks out with so much speed that it will destroy the play-field in that area. I've seen anywhere from a little worn spot to a big old "trail" of worn down playfield from that kickout.

Very nice machine. They didn't look that nice out of the factory!
I see alot of topper pride floating around lately. I'll run this one by you guys...
I drove to Georgia from Chicago years ago for a Wh20. 13 hours each way. I took a buddy with and partied while we were there. Crazy good stories from that trip. Machine was above average but the topper was mint. I realized the importance of a clean topper before it became a thing.
So my question to you guys is would it be considered a 'dick move' if I asked that I be buried with my topper? Maybe clutch my arms across it, pose me in a way that lets the community know 'f you all, no wrinkles in this bitch'.
Seriously though, WH20 is a great game. It was the game that taught me there was skill involved to pinball. Damn game left such good memories during my impressionable years.

Nope.
How much tension should the shooter have? Mine has a good amount. Feel like the shot is a little easier that way? Anyone else?

On my machine, I release the shooter with the shooter rod washer at the lowest mark on the apron shooter window. This puts the ball easily on the upper playfield without over shooting. Seems about right.
So the foam pads have helped a lot. The ball still hits the same spot, but with less force. Ball bounces up to around the top of the left slingshot, instead of right down the bounce back lane. I have a chance at doing something with the ball now. Thanks for the tip, delt31!
Does anyone have an extra boulder garden plastic mountain that they aren’t using? My plastic piece broke and I’d hate to have to buy a whole set just for one.

Yes he’s a UK seller. Judge Dreads Pinball. Im not a huge modder but this is a must have on WH20.
Whilst you’re ordering from him you should also get the rafts and mountain lighting strip.

Do you think it blocks too much though? I was thinking about it but it does block some of the ramp etc
Thanks,I want this montain mod.
I need a pic of the subway ramp, how is installed, mine is broken in the taps and attached with zips
And I have a new one to install
Thanks
Quoted from delt31:Do you think it blocks too much though? I was thinking about it but it does block some of the ramp etc
I don't think it blocks anything that would cause a problem with play. I always thought it was a really cool idea but I've never been crazy about the way the mountain sits out in the middle there. It doesn't tie into the the other mountains quite right and therefore looks a little out of place. The texture on the boulders is also not quite right. I wonder if it would work better if it tied into a "missing mountain" on the left ramp and had some slight tweaking to the sculpt. Still a cool mod, maybe I'm being too picky.
I actually think the mountain looks great. When you consider it was moulded by hand and hand painted it won’t be exact. I’m sure I’m teaching people To suck eggs when I say that the sculpt is based on the ball lock dmd animation. That’s the tie in. It doesn’t block anything so no worries there.
Quoted from TheLaw:Mountian(t) mod is better than blue lights in the whirlpool i guess
I've been burned.
I have the Skull mountain mod and would probably trade for the missing mountain mod. It slightly blocks the decal for the Insanity falls on the upper playfield. No biggy.
The paint and texture is not identical to the original mountains but it does not look out of place.
Edit: I actually have spare broken mountains and intent and try to build my own missing mountain mod from them. Some people did.
