Not even close. The answer is self evident.....
Quoted from SeaLawyer:my facts wrong, and then proceeded to malign me
You are living in a dream. Facts of what? Using your logic, someone on trial for murder is already a murderer and you can label them as such in a forum and form opinions as such. Maybe you should peruse some criminal justice forums and talk about pinball.
You assumed that I don't care about the job you do. You are wrong. You assumed many other things as well and even stated you don't want to type them.
Let's not confuse accusations with guilt just yet. Carry on...

Ahhh, I was waiting for you to fall into the trap of the "innocent until proven guilty" fallacy (which is what your "using your logic" statement does). I thought about addressing it preemptively, but figured I'd let you continue to demonstrate your ignorance.
"Innocent until proven guilty" is a legal fiction we, as a civilized society, created to try to help ensure fair trials and reduce false convictions. It exists only in the courtroom, which is as it should be. I'm sure you'll contradict me, and suggest I have no basis for my opinion, but you'll still be wrong.
I'll give you a simple hypothetical. You're walking a little old lady across the street; a man pulls up to the intersection, gets out of his vehicle, shoots the old lady in the head (killing her), grabs her purse, and drives away. Is he a murderer? Is he a robber? You witnessed it, so there's no question in your mind as to the reliability (and absence of legal justification) of what you saw. The answer is OF COURSE he's a "murderer" and a "robber." If you claim otherwise, you're either deluding yourself or being deliberately obtuse to save face for your moronic comments in this thread. The fact that the hypothetical man in my example hasn't been convicted of those crimes yet means only that he's not a "convicted murderer" and a "convicted robber."
John Trudeau is a child pornographer and a child molester. He'll be convicted of both, almost certainly, and will likely spend the rest of his life behind bars continuing to profit from the proceeds of his pinball designs. Knowing what happens to chili mo's in prison is some comfort, though.
I was looking for a nice Dredd long before a WH2O popped up within driving distance.
I’ve played Dredd in the wild and like the game. I still want one.
For approachability and pure fun for casual players, you can’t beat white water.
If you’re a mode kind of player, JD would hold the edge.
For me, JD would be rotated out long before WH2O would leave.
Agree with you on all points except the last paragraph. If it turns out the way you think it will, no one here really cares. We're talking about WH20 and JD pinball man, pinball.
LOL. I was waiting for you to fall into the trap of the-- "No one gives a crap about your 16+ years of experience on blah blah blah."
Come back to this forum with an opinion about JD or WH20 when you have 16 years of experience collecting pins and take you "pinball" opinions over to your criminal justice forums.
Examples:
I like the way the loops are linked together in JD
I like the way the upper play field shots are fed in WH20
I do not like the animations as much in JD as in WH20
I do not like the design of the mine kickout on WH20
Quoted from SeaLawyer:John Trudeau is a child pornographer and a child molester.
Hey counsellor, maybe you should turn that keen legal mind to the facts a bit closer.

Lol, you obviously didn't read my original post:

I never said John Trudeau designed WH20. He designed JD. I played both recently for the first time and loved WH20, but was disappointed in JD (which I expected to like given my love for the source material, having grown up in the UK and Australia). I conceded that my opinion of JD's designer may have colored my opinion of the pin, but probably only slightly.
My keen legal mind thanks you for proving its keenness...

I stated what I liked and didn't like about the pin, independent of my distaste for the designer. Personal taste about a pin's layouts, shots, art, sound, etc., are all subjective. If you had disagreed with my assessment of the pin, I'd have conceded that it was subjective (since I conceded I was likely in the minority). Instead, you chose to talk out of your butt.
That's a tough one. I'm assuming you're comparing from the perspective of an owner, rather than operator or just player in an arcade.
Given what the current prices are for both, I'd have to go with Dredd.
What I love about Dredd: Theme, artwork, theme integration, callouts, and the ridiculous super game are all appropriate. Shots are good, although the sniper tower can get a little repetitive. Enjoy completing all of the scenes, decent flow, Dead World multiball is challenging. Unusually good flow considering Trudeau designed it. (Maybe it's just me but I think 90% of his designs are either boring or crappy. Maybe I'm just being salty because I hate Ghostbusters and it's like the only game you see on route these days.).
Dredd cons: Music isn't for everyone. Don't like 8 bars of guitar wank? Let's break it up with some Elvis impersonation. It's a widebody and those are supposed to be bad for some reason. Deadworld mech can break up flow of game.
Whitewater Pros: Love the upper PF, satisfying Insanity Falls shot. Creative theme that is family friendly and pretty funny. Best multiball callout prior to GoT. Interesting ramps.
Cons: Music is annoying in a different way. Maybe a little too easy, the main ramp shot to the VUK is so repeatable and error making that shot sets up your locks. I'm still not really sure how the scoring works (sometimes I play for 5 minutes and have 1010101010000 points because of the rafts or something).
Both are jam-packed, awesome games. If Stern made anything this loaded today it would cost $16000 but still have no leg bolt brackets. (Stern would probably use the movie license and have someone trace over some photographs and then try to pass it off as "hand-drawn art" and the playfield text would all be in Papyrus font with a 10 point black stroke around it).
My God when i started this poll i dindt tough it will be like this
Quoted from 27dnast:Someone said it above: White Water is pinball perfection.
Judge is good pinball, but...
i suppose i must pass on the trade of JD + $750 then...even that mine its not at hes full glory but still this thread was an eye opener guys..
