Looking for an assist troubleshooting an intermittent opto on my White Water. The left ramp opto will work on occasion and then not work. Have tested the continuity of all wires from the 7 switch opto to the power board, CPU, and all individual optos and they all work fine. Replaced the suspect left ramp optos just in case they were faulty. Thought it could be a bad 7 switch opto board so bought a new one and replaced the old one. Oddly, the new board doesn't work at all - caused all the optos to not work. Thought it may be a power board issue (not enough power for the machine as I'm also running Pinsound on it) so installed a new one and still nothing. Replaced the new 7 switch opto back to the old one and it works again but intermittently. Not sure what else it could be. Any suggestions welcome as I'm sort of at a loss at this point and super curious as to why the new opto board won't work on the machine.

Check the inline connectors, I have had a lot of issues with those.
Seems they get easily corroded.
Just to be clear - I mean the ones on the cable going from the opto to the wire harness, not the connectors going to the circuit boards.

Might also be dirty opto LEDs, try cleaning them with a Q-tip with some isopropanol on it.

Thanks ZigZag - I'm in process of redoing that molex connector (waiting for some tools and .062 male/female pins to get the job done). I'd be thrilled if that fixes this problem. Optos definitely clean.
