I know there are some threads on this subject, I just can't seem to find them.

I'm working on a White Water later this afternoon and the owner tells me the flippers start out strong, but become quite weak after about 20 minutes of game play.

I rebuilt the flippers a month ago, but we did not play test it long enough to see this issue.

I'll start off by checking my rebuild (sleeves, stops, springs, etc) and making sure everything moves smoothly.

What's the next logical step up the chain? Checking coil resistance? Power driver board?

Thanks!

Quoted from mot:

Do the coils get hot after a while?

I will check that first thing.

Quoted from Xenon75:

Weak or dying optos on the flipper boards can cause this, as can bad solder joints on the boards themselves.

Also bad or dying BR on fliptronics board along with connectors or solder joints there.

Thanks. We'll check those as well.
