I noticed that I have 2 dots (in the same column) that are always locked on, and other dots in that same column only work when they want to. When I run a display test, everything is perfect except for that one column, page test works fine, but the RAM test comes back with a "RAM DATA ERROR" message.

I've reseated the ribbon cable, with no change. I understand that the 6264 RAM is a common failure point, and when it does it causes the aforementioned issues.
My question is twofold: 1) Does this indeed look like a RAM failure? And if so, is this the RAM I would get to fix it: https://www.greatplainselectronics.com/proddetail.asp?prod=6264LP-70
2) How sensitive are these boards to soldering? I've done boardwork several times in the past, so I have no qualms doing so, but I've heard (and seen) horror stories of soldering jobs gone wrong. If its particularly difficult to work on these boards, I'll probably just send the thing out, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Thanks!
