I found a WH2O i was thinking about making a offer on.
The seller is asking 3500
Looks to be in good shape, a little fade on the cabinet.
Cab is in Northern Florida

Price seems high to me but I am a NOOB so i could use a little help Please

#2 10 years ago

if the machine is in good shape it sounds about right to me.

Fair price for a 100% playing game in good overall condition with just typical cab dings. Make sure ramps are good and topper is there. Missing topper, then take off $750? Needs new ramps, then take off $500?

Very doubtfull you're gunna get someone to pony up the money to replace every single ramp.

$3500 isn't too high these days.

I was reading older post and people are talking about paying 2k for it
Guess those days are over

This will the only pin I am going to own for now; hope its fun

It's basically the end of days now

I kept putting off buying one because "they are only $1800, I'll grab one later."

I just hope the market for does not crash
Would be just my luck for the market to go way down after I get it.

Anything is possible, but you're probably fine at that price. Very fun game!

$3,500 is more than reasonable for a decent White Water. They often go for more.

#11 10 years ago

Only game. Make sure you like it. Play it first otherwise be prepare to sell or trade and at that point your purchase price matters a lot.

I do. I'll take the lose in value of my machines to make my future games way cheaper!

If the ramps are completely blown out then most sellers will likely have some wiggle room on asking price considering the cost of new ramps. If ramps are just typical micro fractures at tabs then not a big deal.

Toppers are not currently available and I think most will agree that a game missing a topper is worth less.

THE LAW laying it down...and i agree with what he said.

Not that I'm happy about the way prices have rocketed, but I won't lie, I'd pay that price for one in good shape. No one can say what the market is gonna do, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't get your money back out it at the very least within the next year or so.

Edit: Also, I normally don't care about toppers, but I agree, Whitewater without a topper is kind of a big deal. It's really meant to be a full package.

Not going to happen. If that is your biggest concern I would stick with $700-$900 games. You are buying for the wrong reason in my opinion. I had one less than a year ago. Sol it at $3600 with good ramps and a working original topper. Nice game with cabinet dings. You aren't going to lose much, probably gain over time.

$3,500 is at the low end for a typcial, complete, 100% working White Water. If it's in nice shape that's a very good price.

If the playfield, cab, plastics and ramps are all blown out, and the topper is missing then it's too much.

Above average examples have tended to go for around $4,500.

Excellent examples are very rare, especially unrestored. The restored ones in excellent shape are tough because the owners have sunk a ton of money into them don't want to let them go for anything close to $4,500.

The price on these went up dramatically in the last two or three years but hasn't moved much in the last year. It's a good game with really nice art and a nice unique theme that used to be a little bit of a sleeper title, so as prices on some of the more obvious Bally Williams pins rose people started turning their attention to games like White Water. My guess is that it will hold for a while between $3,500 to $4,500 for most examples, depending on condition, but I could be wrong. I could easily see it rising or falling.

Buy now if you love the game then no matter what happens you got something you wanted. I bet there going up before they ever go back down.
