I hope you get to feelin' better Skip!
Geesh – coexist, people.
Actually the "G" rated version of the show shirt was pretty nice.
Sounds like some folks here never visited the show table at the back of the hall to even see it was for sale.
I have a 30-year career in managing trade shows, exhibits, procurement conferences for the federal government and aviation sector, product launches and media days – et al – all over the world. I know the work ANY show needs to be any sort of a success, and I applaud Rich for ALL of his efforts (and family).
Me, I'm bringing 3 non-pinheads with me to help support this show AND the vendors.
Carry on ...
Looking for 1970s to 1990s metal coin-op/amusement device tax tags (licenses), as circled in pic.
Prefer the city-issued ones, but will consider any with great solid colors and crisp lettering (date of issue a bonus).
Please PM me if you will be at York on Friday afternoon, and have any you may wish to sell while there.
Quoted from Stoomer:
I like the West Manchester Diner on 74 near the show...it's in an old McDonalds building.
Also several good eateries on the road behind the fairgrounds...maybe called Market St? Go right out of fairgrounds and you'll see several local joints...the sub shop down that way seems to be a yearly thing nowadays for my crew...
Lyndon Diner at 30 and Kenneth Road - diagonal from West Manchester Mall.
Can serve drinks with your lunch - enough said.
Quoted from Gritty:
Scored a nice Big Top for my son. It was between this and Stargazer. My son won and my bank account will live to fight another day.[quoted image]
You done good.
I eyed that game earlier Friday and regret pulling the trigger on it then for my granddaughters.
Thought it was a great price for a good looking game.
So....my inquirying mind would like to know:
Who brought the F-14 with the clear center beacon in the Free Play area?
My 2 non-pinhead friends I brought, as well as someone at the next game, each commented to me that it was lightning fast. The levelers appeared set at about the usual level - so, are you using a specific kind of wax on that playfield to give it that extra juice, or what? If so, I want to have what YOU'RE having, LOL.
PS: My thanks to you and everyone else who brought a game for everyone to enjoy. A special shout-out to the guys with the vintage 'pin games!'
Quoted from Dono:
You are making an incorrect assumption that the flippers came to the show this way... wrong!!! Those flips were aligned perfectly prior to the 800th or so game that was played prior to this set of photos being taken... when I saw that the flipper pawl was loose, the flip was aligned and pawl tightened immediately. if you saw the inside of this game you would know immediately that the flipper mechs, (along with every other mech) were indeed rebuilt to spec, every last one of them.
Winner: Don O!
