Will you put a repro backglass or plastic set, or drops in a game? Will you do cab repaints or extensive playfield touchups?
There's trying to stay as close to original as you can, then there's being anal. I would vote that if you put in posts that are not discernably different from original but won't do it because "you would know" you've crossed into being anal.
Jasonsmith started this thread because he didnt like how white the posts from PBR are. pinhead52 says that he has NOS posts that are more yellow and ends up selling a bunch. MikeO then mentioned that technically they are for bally machines and that they could be a little different than gottlieb posts.
If Jasonsmith was concerned that repro post were not the right color, dont you think he would have liked to know that the NOS posts are not even gottlieb posts? Surely you can see that, right? Even if they are barely different it probably should have been mentioned. Personally, I wouldnt care at all about it if I purchased some, but why is this an issue for you?
