I ordered some new stickers for the three spinners on the play field. What's the best way to remove the old ones and prep for the new decals? What do you use the clean these stickers when they are dirty?

To remove do a lot of peeling and soaking with lighter fluid.

Mine came up really clean after using a plastic razor blade to get them started but used some goo gone prior to installing the new ones to make sure there was no residue. LTG's got the right answer.

Mine also came up clean.
I then cleaned/prepped the (3 playfield) spinners with 91% isopropyl alcohol.
So far so good.

Your talking about drop targets, not spinners?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I am talking about the three spinner decals on the play field on whirlwind. Mine currently have good texture but are dirty, I guess there is no way to clean them up?

Also just to be clear you do not want to use novus or wax on these areas right?

I cleaned the old ones and put it right on top of them. It seemed that it was part of the actual spinner and not a sticker from the factory.

Heat gun or hair dryer and those puppies will peel right off.

I used a heat gun on low. Got them warm and they came off with my finger nail. Add a little goo gone and final wipe down with alcohol. Should be easy and keep you from scratching up the disk.

To remove mine, I made an x-shaped cut across the screw in the middle with an exacto knife. Pried up the sticker starting at the cut and it came right off. No need for goo gone or anything.

What vendor currently has correct ones in stock? I need a set too and didn't find too many of the usual vendors that had them in stock.

I got mine from Curly at Little Shop of Games (along with a new topper).
