I did a full topside teardown, rubbering, coil sleeves, flipper/topper rebuilds, etc.
Not difficult. Just very time consuming.
Here's a great reference for breaking it down systematically.
I followed it step by step and it made life a lot easier.

It's easy. Just take lots of pictures so you know which posts are double ringed and which ones are single ringed. Also, as usual, pay attention to which posts get a screw top and which ones get a threaded top.

The only tricky/unique part is the on-ramp diverter which is removed by taking out an allen key tightening nut that grips the diverter shaft underneath the playfield. This must be removed in order to remove the main ramp. I thought the rest of the game was very standard and not overly complex.

One other thing i found helped.
I put the plastics/screws/parts from each step in the "shop out guide" in a brown paper bag and labeled each bag with the corresponding number from that step.

That way when i went to put everything back together i just lined up the bags in reverse order and got down to rebuilding the playfield.

+1 to lots of pictures.

Zip lock baggies for parts, sharpie to label the baggies. Order a bunch of posts and nuts now. Once you get in there you will probably find that you will want to replace some of the parts.

And if you have ordered your new plastics from CPR, then I would also grab the plastic protector set from Pinbits.

Good call on the protectors.
Make sure to get cliffy protectors for the cellars and the ramp.
Also grab new spinner decals from Curly at Little Shop of Games.
They have a great texture to them.

Another great call, I forgot those - good call Ranhorten. The price of those will save you $100's in wear. So highly recommend those and I can say from experience, they are an easy install.

Good luck on the Mylar removal, I chose to leave my intact as I feared what it would do with the removal process. If you do proceed, please post picts - as I may pursue if you have good success

Say, does anyone know if the guide ever got posted to a different website? Or perhaps someone might have saved copy of the shopout guide for offline use? The link doesn't work anymore sadly. And I'm picking up my WW on Saturday. I'm pretty weak when it comes to topside teardowns, and a guide specific to WW was gonna be just the thing!

not a hard game to shop. im shopping one now. 3rd one ive done. once you get the ramps off, its a piece of cake.

EDIT: Having dove into the website further, while it's still very, very useful, it does kinda seem like it came from a previous decade. But then so did most of the games that are being shopped out, so I guess that fits!.

I think this appeared in the early 2000s. Vic Ireland (who is on here) ran it. He would know. Anyways, th age of the pics doesn't matter, it's still a great resource.
