That thing looks kick a$$ ! I do my own restorations too, and WW is the only game I've not stripped and shopped in my collection ( Well, except for TZ) . Several have had the same treatment you have done here. Makes me think about taking mine down this winter and touch up a little and clearing it. Not sure my marriage can survive one right now, just finished my TAXI, wife is kind of ticked off I spent 100 hours of August/Sept in my shop on that game.

I have a couple questions:
The insert decals: some i have bought are not opaque and are too transparent where the black ink is , not blocking the light from bleeding through, which ones did you buy, and are they totally opaque where it will look original again?

Wear around the spinning disc: what was the issue with decals? if it wasn't real bad would you just touch up with color and leave the edges natural wood? or decal it anyways?

just curious, what brand of clear ?, i suppose a friend sprays the automotive clear on it for you? That's what i do for a living, so just being nosy.

Looks great, keep us posted with the rebuild , love seeing these posts !

PS: 6 friggin pops on this game , I hate dealing with pop bumpers GI wiring , but hey, gotta do it.

Quoted from stef34:

I think the first clear was a Palinal (brand) and a HS Ceramic

I see your in France, didn't notice it before until I read your paint brand,Palinal, it's not here is the U.S.. I work for Akzo Nobel, super huge in Europe, well respected here in the US too.

Interested to see how the decals look once powered up, I don't anticipate any lift upon mylar removal except the occasional insert, have gotten pretty good at getting mylar off, just need a good plan if i need to fix an insert. My Taxi restoration is on pinside if your interested in checking it out, didn't do much to the cabinet, nothing like you've done here.

Looks great, keep us posted.
