If nothing moves at all, check of fuses first, on the aux power driver board and power board.
Then I suspect either a bad button switch contact that was making the weird effect, and that is now out of order, or a bad adjustment adjustment of the eos, or a bad eos switch.
Agree, sounds like an EOS problem. Check to make sure the contacts are clean and it is gapped and sitting closed and opening appropriately.
