I finally made it into the Whirlwind club! Been needing one to go with my ES for a while and scored a clear-coated one today. Playfield is stellar, cab is a bit rough but hey, you don't play that.

Quoted from Jvspin:but has anyone put the mirrored back glass from CPR in their game yet? If so, what do you think?
I have a CPR second that I will trade for a NOS or perfect condition translight. I bought it off ebay from a guy that won it at a tourney and don't much care for it. Have pics if needed.
Quoted from Carl_694:DM is of similar value...(to Whirlwind)
Not in my book
Just the backglass alone with those horrible mugs makes it a Not-In-My-House pin.
Happy to throw some quarters on it in the wild, but could not deal with seeing it on a daily basis.
A lot of the joy of pinball to me is their beauty and a DM in the line up would just kill the whole effect, where WW is a joy to behold AND play.
Not to trash the gameplay, but really, Uhg.
Good luck with trade!
Quoted from Matt_Rasmussen:In my experience neither of them will be right. A kit is a good start, but I guarantee you'll need more. Buy extras, they're not that expensive.
What he said. I have a organizer box with every size rubber ring. If I need one I am out of, I order a dozen or so, label the extras and throw em in the box. Having extra rings on hand is not a bad thing when you have more than one machine.
