Quoted from zerbam:

with this plastic still in one piece for scanning?

mine is broken as well

Quoted from mrclean:

finally pay homage to JAWS

That would be cool. There's a long list of great ideas for pinball machines. I've always thought a Scooby Doo pinball that is actually good would sell like crazy...pull in the family pin market as well as boomers etc.

Quoted from Oldgoat:

Anyhow, since shipping is 8x the cost of the part

http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=1880

same price, not sure on shipping

Quoted from Oldgoat:

however, are there any parts on a Whirlwind that tend to fail fairly often

never had anything fail...grab an assorted LED bag or a flipper rebuild kit---always need those

Quoted from goingincirclez:

Anyone have any ideas?

put them on mine and had no issues...is the scoop on yours stock or a replacement? I put a mantis on another game and when I reapplied the cliffy it was a no go....normally you can bend the scoop open more with a rag and some pliers, channel locks etc.

so it lights up when the blower turns on.

Nice--I've got the blue LED's when it turns on

Quoted from sulli10:

Has any one removed the play field mylar

By all accounts, removing mylar on this era game is a disaster. Places like HSA won't even restore these playfields.

new CPR playfield run.

thought about it, then thought about the playfield swap, then decided I am fine with my current playfield.

Quoted from Vino:

will need another plastic set when it's available.

Somebody should produce a couple dozen of these again....lots of people looking for them.

Mine is shredded.

Now, Is it just me, or do things seem kinda sketchy?

If it's Hemisphere Pinball in IL, they are a legit retailer of new and used. I actually bought 1 game from him--WW as a matter of fact. He probably had stocked up at some point because they restore games...probably cashing in on the shortage of these plastics.
