Finally got my WW the other day. A Restored one and it's time to fill in the top scores with BAT.

So my ramp stays stuck up most of the time now. If I giggle the lever sometimes it will come down in a new game. Any advice on what to look for to fix the ramp?

#834 3 years ago
Quoted from Dewey68:

Also check the switch that indicates when the ramp is up or down. It's got a long, bent arm and they have been known to bend or break over the years.

Pic by chance of what this looks like?

Quoted from Barron:

Location pinball is a totally different beast & this particular plastic is just prone to a beating. Had the protector not been there, I'm sure my plastic would have busted. Hell, I've even had a few Cliffy protectors fail on me after a while. Things just wear out from the abuse of thousands of plays. I'd buy again, but I'd just reinforce this particular spot in a non-home environment. Thankfully, it's off-route now awaiting a playfield.

Sorry what piece are we looking at in this pic?

What are people using these days to protect the area around the discs from chipping?

Currently my ramp is stuck in the upright position and when I hit the cellar it won't go down. Any ideas on what I should look for to fix this?

Do any of you have a message when you open the coin door?

#1362 2 years ago
Quoted from sohchx:

Yes, you are supposed to get a message alerting you that the door has been opened. I forget what the display reads at that time though

Thanks. Mine isn't working and I can't figure out how to fix it. I did a different post looking for help but no luck so far.

What does adjust failure message mean?

Quoted from Pmaino:

It should be at least a million or more points for that shot!

Can you change that point value somewhere for the 3 way combo?

Can someone please show me a pic of their lock lane. I'm getting an error on test report for switch #24 but I don't even have a #24 lock 3. I only have 2 switch #22 and #23 which are lock 1 and lock 2. I don't understand what is happening? Is there actually 3 switches?

#2321 1 year ago
Quoted from dsuperbee:

There should be 3 switches in your lock lane. Post a pic of your lock land and the underside of the lock area.

Never had any issues with 3rd lock switch #24, played it for years.

Quoted from TheOnlyest:

Dude, i'm sorry, but if you cant see a switch bracket with no switch on it, and wires hanging next to it, attached to nothing, and a cutout that is clearly long enough for 3 switch actuators, but only has 2 visible... And you still have to ask...

You shouldn't be working on your own pins, call a local tech to help you, before you blow something up.

Yes I'm still learning and missed that on the initial view. The problem was the game was working perfectly without it which caused the confusion. I am asking for techs help that I know but I WANT to learn.

Quoted from dmacy:

This is the switch you need 5647-12073-34 but may have to get creative with a similar type switch to make work.

Yeah I see what you're saying. Trying to find an alternative. 5647-12693-34 ???

Quoted from TheOnlyest:

I'm not trying to beat you up here bro, but identifying this issue ranks up there with "is the game plugged in?" and "is the power turned on?".
When I see profile basics that say you've been on pinside for over 3 years, you own 6 pins, and you couldn't troubleshoot this one on your own?? That's what we call a "wtf!?"! Hence my comment...
Grab one of these and simply, but carefully bend the actuator to meet your needs!
You're gonna need a couple of these too... Dont overtighten!

Thank you. No worries. I don't play my pins to death so problems are not that frequent but I get it's all good. I generally get help but I want to do more on my own now.

I had no issues getting multiball or jackpot up the ramp with only #22 and #23 before. it just worked?

Quoted from bballfan:

It should feed the upper flipper at a full plunge.

Yes this is what mine does. Full plunge should wrap around to the upper flipper. I've seen some go partially up the ramp which is not right.
