How does it stay in place if it’s above the slope?it doesn’t fall back down?
On a side note how do we turn off the knocker?
Thanks
Quoted from Jmckune:The rings stay in place pretty good and takes some force to get it up the slope. It does not fall back down
I’ll try that thanks

So I moved the piece up the slope and it helps to keep the spinner aligned better. I played a game and it was a bit better, but then it started again, those spacers are pretty snug, but I don’t see them stopping the spinner.
I noticed my inserts are raised up quite a bit and makes the ball jump when it rolls over some of them, maybe it’s hopping over that SE insert preventing a smoother spinner shot?
Quoted from Blackbeard:No love for knockers in here. Odd ...
I play late night and don’t want the family waking up to gunshots
Quoted from Blackbeard:Dude that’s an insane score. 3 ball??
I think my high is like 36,000,000
Yes 3 ball, normal settings. I lost count on extra balls. Are the high scores based only on 3 balls and no extra balls? Like in PAPA tournament play? If so I will take extra balls off. How do you guys play?
Quoted from Jmckune:Does yours play slow or are you just that good? Mine plays like lightning and I feel like it’s because it’s clear coated. Best I’ve done is around 18 million
Oh it plays fast! And kicks your ass. I just try and slow the play down and pick shots, I like to backhand the lock from the right flipper which helps. And also I don’t try to shoot the cellar from the right flipper too much, because it ends up in the outlanes fast.
I still have the original Mylar which is lifting quite a bit around the inserts. My side ramp is broken as well, I makeshifted a piece of thin steal at the beginning of the ramp so the ball has something to hit. I have a set of cliffys coming in the next few weeks. Hopefully that will help make the side ramp easier to make, I hate plastic ramps!!
Quoted from Puffdanny:Woohoo just hit the 3 way combo on the first game after reassembling
Very nice, It’s the best feeling in pinball
Hey all
I’m planning on installing my cliffy set tonight, does anyone have any helpful hints or tricks, or things to look out for?
Thanks
Quoted from Jmckune:It’s easy, the worst one for me was the regular cellar, it had a new reproduction post that had longer threading than the original and it took a minute to get but not that bad once that one was off.
Do I need to fully remove the ramp to gain access to the scoop?
Thanks
Quoted from Jmckune:No. All you have to do is remove the super cellar and cellar lights from the plastics they are attached to, remove the nuts holding the plastics down on one side, and then take out two posts, one for the super cellar and one for the cellar, the cliffy goes down into the hole and you will be able to tell when it’s secured, then reinstall post through the cliffy to hold in place.
Here’s the only posts you need to remove to get the scoop protectors in, and then leave the cellar lights connected but unscrewed [quoted image]
I am referring to the scoop under the ramp, that raises and lowers.
Think I may have to remove the return ramp aswell to allow space to install the side ramp protector.
The cellars are pretty simple.
Quoted from Jmckune:There isn’t a cliffy for under the main ramp that I’m aware of. I got the complete set, which was the 4 pc set (2 cellars, side ramp, and shooter lane) if you are talking about something else for the ball eject under the main ramp then yes, to access that the entire main ramp needs to come out and can be done without removing the side ramp.
I have not opened my package yet but I will when I get home. I just assumed there was one for that scoop but I guess I was wrong.
There should be tho
You were right there is no protector for the scoop under the ramp, everything fit nicely, highly recommend them.
Does anyone know where I can find some mirror blades for my whirlwind in Canada? Preferably Ontario
Thanks
Quoted from scampcamp:I'm sure coin taker ships there
Thanks for the heads up, although I don’t see the blades for it. It’s showing for dmd titles, and sterns, but nothing for alpha numerical games. Do they have to be modified aswell? I thought I read that somewhere.
Hey guys
I’m getting a clicking noise in the back box, seems like it clicks every second or so in sequence. The game still plays but haven’t played since it happened. Any ideas?
Quoted from Sciddleybop1980:Sounds like your relay mate. Is it constant? Obviously it should click and certain times as it flashes the gi
Thanks for the feedback yes the clicking was coming from my relay but has since stopped.
the entrance gate microswitch is now not working on the side ramp.
That switch seems to turn on lights once the ball enters the ramp? Correct me if I’m wrong.
Wonder if that is a separate issue or not
Quoted from PantherCityPins:I am still having issues with my cellar kickout. The kickout strength is pretty variable, sometimes it fires out well, sometimes it comes out weakly. Also every 10-15 games there will be a click when it is supposed to fire, nothing happens though and then the game will go into ball search. It won't fire that solenoid during ball search after the click happens. If it goes into ball search for any other reason (without the click issue happening) the solenoid fires fine. I have already replaced the solenoid and replaced the plunger.
Any ideas?
Make sure your machine is leveled properly,I was having the same issue.
When the machine is not shooting the ball out, try shaking the machine a bit to see if the ball touches the switch properly.
Check the switch also and make sure it is properly aligned. Can’t hurt to try
