Quoted from ChadH:

I have also reflowed solder around the A/C relay and associated connectors. Fuses are all good.
Flashers are still not working. Hoping someone might have advice from here.

check the presence of VDC on the orange wire on a flasher socket

Quoted from Slash:

Got another problem, since I put the game back together.
I have fired the game up a few times since I finished the restoration (it was not playable when I bought it 5 years ago, although it did turn on). It lit up fine and I was going through the service menu (with difficulty as it's in German so I will need new eproms), testing coils etc trying to see what was working and what might need tweaking etc.
Anyhow, turned it off came back turned it on and it immediately shut down. The 4 AMP fuse in the line filter box has blown. Replace the fuse, turned it on again and it blew again. Any suggestions on where to start to trouble shoot this?

You should be able to change the language from German to english without the need of changing eproms. Go to adjustments ("Einstellungen") and look for "Sprache" (=language)...

Someone has the file for the sticker behind the 3 discs?
Thanks [quoted image]

IIRC I found it there http://www.pinballrebel.com/pinball/cards/ for my TAF which might be the same

Quoted from ElectricLou:

Hi guys
Still have one thing bugging me with my latest WW restoration.
By the way, to make you laugh, last Time I asked for help was a problem with my board lights under The PF. All board lights were dead. I runned down a mile of wires.
2 days later I realised that I had forgot to put leds in all the board sockets.
Yep. Im that guy

Joined this club recently with a diamaond plate game in nice condition
How 'rare' is the diamond plate edition- I read something about 200 made or was there a bigger number produced?

Quoted from Pomz:

Yeah I unplugged it and plugged it back in maybe I’ll try messing with the wires. Wish I would have disconnected it before transporting it. Is there a way to look up the id 00 574 LA1? Trying to find that code.

"00 574 LA1" this is not a failure code but the regular screen when the machine is booting up or one enters the menu for settings
When machine fully boots that info screen should be gone

Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:

I'm 99% sure that is the rom version, not an error code for the disks. My machine works flawlessly and this is what it does on startup and on pressing the far left button in the coin door.

Edit to add, see the un-numbered second page as well as page 40 of the manual here. It looks like the blower motor and the disk spinner are on the same fuse. See if you can turn on the fan blower on top of the backbox in the menu. If you can't, it's related to the fuse and or the connection to the board in the backbox.

Yes "LA1" is the game rom version, 574 the "model" number for whirlwind-however not a failure code at all

Quoted from fossmin:

How do you remove the fan blade from the motor? I don't quite understand the clip they used and don't want to damage it.
Thanks
[quoted image]

you can just pull the fan off the axle
It might need some force as it sits there already for some time
A punch tool and some gentle hits might help
