There was a game a few years on Android called SpecTrek, or something like that. General same idea. Walk around with your phone to spot ghosts with your camera. Isn't anything like Ghostbusters app would be, but the Pokemon idea isn't new or exclusive. There are a few other options.
Also when Tron came out in the theater, Coke had an app where you walk, and your path became light-cycle trails. Not sure how it worked, because I don't think the app came out for Android until long after the movie was out. So I lost interest at that point.

The good thing about the gameboy is that you can swap out cartridges. 
Played both. Also enjoyed the Sonic one they had for the the Gameboy Advanced, or Color, or something. Not the Genesis Spinball one. Although, that was fun too.
