Pokemon GO... Silly people chasing digital characters all over the place. Not for me. Rather be shooting down zombies on TWD.

Stern presents Pokemon Go 2017 spring release!

Yep the took the white board for Star Wars and are you using it for Pokemon GO. Too funny!

We used to lock people up that ran around chasing things that weren't really there.

    GO figure!

A Pokemon pinball machine is a better, and more relevant, theme than most of the 30-40+ year old rock bands and movies we've seen come out. But then again, theme itself is not the key, it's the implementation of said theme.... and Pokemon Go is a testament to that.

    Why not both?

I've had that game in my daily backpack for ... oh, the last nine years or so. Owned since 2000, it's the one cartridge that ended up planted in that gameboy permanently. It's pretty great.

You realise that the zombies you are shooting are digital too right?

Why not combine them both and have a pinball game where you go around in real life and flip balls at pokemon you see through your screen on your phone?

Could also add so you see bumpers here and there too, or ramps

    #11 2 years ago

This is the only Pokemon game I've ever played.

With all the hype and numbers, I had to give it a try. Kinda cool really. I'm not gonna let it possess me, but it does give me something to do on my walks, and it's making me walk more.

Hey, if it gets people off their asses and walking -- and getting the stupid ones run over by trucks -- I'm all for it!

During one of the most dynamic times in world history...
    Pokemon Go!
Yeah, our ancestors would be proud...
More Pinball & less phone game apps.

Maybe the phone could recognize objects with the camera and the pinball can bounce off of them on the screen. If you want to shoot a scoop, you have to keep the ball alive till you find an open door and shoot the ball in.

A Ghostbusters version of pokemon go would be pretty fun i think

I'm enjoying Pokemon Go with my friends and kids.

    It's just a game.

There was a game a few years on Android called SpecTrek, or something like that. General same idea. Walk around with your phone to spot ghosts with your camera. Isn't anything like Ghostbusters app would be, but the Pokemon idea isn't new or exclusive. There are a few other options.

Also when Tron came out in the theater, Coke had an app where you walk, and your path became light-cycle trails. Not sure how it worked, because I don't think the app came out for Android until long after the movie was out. So I lost interest at that point.

    EDIT

Speaking of Pokemon Go! This made me chuckle.

Today I haven't played any pinball, Beer Go has taken most of the day. It's an actual reality game where you chase and catch beer. Wearing Google actual reality glasses (

) makes it fully real and immersive. It's awesome, and I'm feeling great after capturing and consuming a few beers. Highly recommended!

Goddamn, that's a good pinball game. I'm sure the "purists" will scoff, but they wouldn't know fun if it bit them on the ass.

i played a ton of kirbys pinball land on gameboy as a kid. its pretty awesome, i think its better than the pokemon pinball by a long shot

The good thing about the gameboy is that you can swap out cartridges. Played both. Also enjoyed the Sonic one they had for the the Gameboy Advanced, or Color, or something. Not the Genesis Spinball one. Although, that was fun too.

I say standing around with your face glued to your phone is not playing outside.
