Good choice. Own my 3rd and best South Park. It's a fun game for guests who get quite a laugh from it. Hook....uuh....well....that game was just crap. Couldn't get rid of It fast enough.

Have you tried reseating the cables? Are you sure the cables or in the right pins on the header and not misplaced by one. You can't tell what the other person before you did. Might want to make sure all connections are accurate.

this and also I'm not sure if this machine uses ribbon cables but it the ribbon cable on the sound board - mpu got flip flopped it can have that affect.

As others have said...check the cables. With the game off, re-seat the ROMS for sound. Did you mention if you get any sound from the speakers? Does the game make the loud "clunk" sound at power up?

I keep hearing about this code but until it does anything to fix the terrible layout and "flow" it just isn't gonna make a difference. I've played the wondrous new code - all it does it make it more palatable for tournament play, but it's still an awful game. It certainly doesn't help make it any more fun.

not true i completely understand and took in all fsctors and absolutely came out on top as of right now i have 600 bucks in a mint south park with sound problems and that is fine with me bc i will definitely fix it easily i hope but still 600 in a 2600-3000 dollar game

How do you have $600 in the deal? Is that what you valued your Hook at? Then why did you ask me to pay you $2500? I would have gladly paid you $1000 for the Hook. Actually, since I don't like to rip people off, I would have paid you $2300 for the Hook. Your Hook was worth over two grand and that crap South Park (definitely NOT mint) was worth less than two grand. You lost on this deal money-wise but if you wanted a fixer-upper South Park, you should be happy.

dude i dont understand your attitude towards me.all i did was ask for opinions and i feel i got awesome responses.and this south cleaned up beautiful and is a creampuff playfield.yeah the cabinet has some wear nothing i cant fix though.the only problem im really having is diagnosing the sound and thats bc the guy lied to me before i did the deal or i would have never done it.but his karma will come around
I don't believe in karma and I only asked how you calculated that you have "$600" into this South Park. I didn't mean to stress you out. It's only an online forum. I never meant to say that you "screw(ed)...anyone". I think you got screwed. That sucks but it happens. You only got "screwed" for a few hundred bucks. I've been screwed for thousands so it could be worse. Don't ever let emotions affect your dealings.

I might be missing something here but I interpreted it as he added $600 to the deal plus his Hook. He thinks that South Park in mint condition is worth around $2,600 to $3,000 which doesn't sound that far off.

no i didnt add 600 to the deal. i paid 600 for the hook from someone awhile back before the prices went crazy last year.but yeah you are right

Unfortunately the sp in question is no where near mint.... cab is rough, no sound, playfield wear at inlane drops , broken plastics, wear at scoops and im sure some other stuff.
true but look at it after just one application of novus 1. i feel happy and just send the boards to a true professional for a complete rebuilr for a great price. im definitely satisfied

just completely shopped it out with everything and all cliffy protectors and 100% leds and flame polished the ramps in truly happy with how this is finishing.cant wait to get my boards back.i sent them out for a complete rebuild from a very reputable board technician. will truly have a super nice south park in about 2 weeks
I hope your first mod will be a LCD ColorDMD. I think the HiRes for South Park is a perfect fit with this cartoon theme pin. Enjoy watching the video preview on this page.
