Is after GoT
I'm not sure GoT will have an LCD, I'm with Zucot on this one. I'm certain it has an upper playfield though and that there will be a number of RGB inserts, which will be multiple colours (similar to Star Trek) on all models with the LE being another stunner when it comes to light show. I reckon no more than 3 weeks until announcement
Winter is coming
Quoted from zucot:GOT announced to steal the thunder from the JJP open house. Battle of the toy dragons. More flippers than have been seen in a Stern in a long time.
And a lockdown bar button
Quoted from Allibaster:If true, this is really unfortunate. GoT has some amazing cinematics in the show that would look great on a pin.
I would really like to add a modern looking game to my lineup. Anymore, I think the Stern DMD is looking dated compared to MMR, Heighway, or JJP displays.
Yeah the cinematics are great but then a lot of the stuff in the show is extremely graphic and scary or sexual, White Walkers attacking, The Mountain vs the Viper, the walk of shame I think a DMD would be more likely to make it into more collectors homes - possibly that was the thinking behind it? It's going to be toy heavy from what we hear, which is clearly a good thing, I think we might see a castle in some form or possibly an iron throne, coupled with the dragons upper playfield it could certainly be packed with great stuff, along with a lock bar button and several colour changing inserts on all models, I expect the light show to be fantastic
Maybe it could outdo Medieval Madness and Hobbit all in one, I'm sure that's what Steve and team will be aiming for
Quoted from ryanwanger:Technically GoT isn't even confirmed.
It is 100% GoT though and 100% SR
Quoted from beelzeboob:Oh...and the other talk I've heard here is that the code is pretty far along because of the development time the game has taken. But that could be a load of BS like so much else on this forum.
It's Dwight Sullivan leading the code and that code is pretty far along
Quoted from PinB:So, based on all the recent speculation in this thread, GOT will supposedly have:
- No LCD display
- Upper playfield with 2 regular-sized flippers
- Dragon toy
- Photoshop art *EDIT*
- Release code will be further along than any other Stern in recent memory
- Dwight Sullivan leading the code team
- Steve Ritchie as designer
Did I miss anything?
Upper playfield is "Dragons playfield" not sure there's a dragon toy as such.
I would think THE "toy" would be the iron throne
Colour changing inserts on all models (like Star Trek)
Lockbar button on all models
Oh and Winter is coming........
Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:I've heard nothing and know nothing, which pretty much makes me the expert on this topic.
So you're saying that Stern are gonna throw a curveball and release this:
