I want GoT.
However, part of my almost hopes there's one pin BEFORE to give them more time to get it right.... and kick it up a notch with a LCD perhaps....
GOT, New Star Wars and JJP#3 is my fantasy lineup for 2015/2016.

Quoted from RobT:Jack has strongly implied that he has the license for SW
lol... he barely does what he SAYS.... or what hes CONTRACTUALLY OBLIGATED to do... how can you give ANY weight to what he implies?!!?!?!?
Quoted from TigerLaw:I hope Jack gets SW as a license . . . it would be a great way for him to attract some investment dollars to his company (assuming he wants or needs the investment).
I agree. I would love to see the "JJP treatment" for SW....
At least then we'll KNOW it's getting an LCD.
Does Stern follow a predicable pattern for releases? If so, whats the projected DATE for the next game (regardless of the title)?
Quoted from ahdelarge:Game of Thrones....collapsing castle/Kingdom, unique layout, ring shot style ramp, deep rules and Stern's first color display?
lol... I was hoping that the playfield would be completely FLAT... then raise up with minuture clockworks as in the oprning credits...
Not too much to expect- is it?
Quoted from iceman44:. "Dots" are terrible.
Thank god Jack "saved" pinball then with WoZ.
All those sucky games we've been stuck with these last few decades
And yet....
I WILL be disappointed if Stern releases GOT with dots.
I disagree that dots categorically suck:
When Pinbot was made, alphanumerics were the state of the art. pinbot does NOT suck.
When Monster Bash was made, DMD's were the best we had. MB certainly doesnt suck.
But.
In 2015 mono sound and DMDs are NOT the best pinball can do, JJP HAS proven that.
Titles released from here on out with 1990's tech should be shunned....
Quoted from Arcade:Omg. Stern deleted their own Facebook comment and just left the original posters question up about this topic.
i think that gives even MORE credence to an impending announcement on the title...
Much as I want to see a GOT pin, if its not going to feature an LCD and rather just rehash the same 90's tech, I'd just assume it NOT be next.
Bring out some shit title like Jaws or ghost busters (themes that are already 20+ years old) and save the good stuff for later....
Quoted from Atomicboy:How does a display make the "pinball" of the game better for you exactly? As long as the game kicks ass, who cares what the display is?
Would a TZ with a calculator display become a worse game than a GI with a movie theater attached to it?
Good point.
Why do they even paint the playfield? Why not just leave it white- i mean it doesnt really effect the gameplay, right?
And why all the silly artwork on the cabinet...
And this foolish desire for music and sound....
Yes, aesthetics MATTERS. Pinball is more than a steel ball.
Quoted from NightTrain:Well then you've never had a WOZ. People comment on the display at my place all the time. Then they say, "This must be new". Then they ask how old my Sterns are. I tell then 1-5 years old and they are blown away. They say they look a lot older. Hmmmm....
hmmm, I dunno, I've seen some WoZ playfields that look a lot older than they really are
