    If you never take any other advice I provide, please follow this one:

    Remove the board destroying Alkaline batteries from all your machines and replace them with Energizer Lithium batteries. Yes they cost a lot more but they will last at least 5 years between replacements and will never leak board destroying corrosives onto your CPU board.

    My STTNG - Battery installation date: November 2015. These batteries have never been replaced.
