No you will be fine. I just opened a can that was in basement untouched for several years I opened it and about a half inch ring of dry product was evident on top so I took a clean putty knife and removed all the dried wax. I sacrificed about 1!8" layer of entire can. But it seems fine.

As a few have mentioned the marine wax. Insulator wax. Well from what I remember that stuff was awesome. I used on imron painted van and jet skis. But it is a liquid. I can almost bet it says petroleum desolates. But I know I had fond memory of using that stuff.
