    Ok I need Pinsides help.

I am looking to wrap our Co Cargo Van. Should I go with Original GAP Pinup girl Logo or Logo without pinup girl. These are not the final, final images, but a mock up. Colors, text and image will change slightly. The van will be on the streets and delivering to homes in the Chicagoland area.

    Thanks for voting.

Go with the girl. Proven to increase sales....

I like the pinup girl but it may be a bit much driving down the highway when a family passes by...lol. You may get many young teen's wanting to play pinball.

Family friendly trumps big ta-tas when you're aiming for the broader market. If you were only delivering to bars and arcades, then the girl would be okay. Delivering to homes, I would keep it toned down.

The logo with the girl looks "too busy" to me. I vote for the one WITHOUT the girl.

    #6 6 years ago

Pinup girl is man friendly, but not family friendly. Can't imagine a soccer mom wanting the van to roll up with the pinup girl on the side.

Thanks for the input so far and the votes.

    Agreed

    Creepy old dudes do

But will not having a pinup girl cause these creepy old dudes to stop buying pinball machines? Probably not.

My vote is no pinup girl.

    #10 6 years ago

    Without the girl for sure.

Also, why put the Stern logo on there? Are they footing part of the bill?

    #11 6 years ago

I like the girl, but it is to much when considering you are catering to everyone.

That being said I see the two flaming pinball designs are different. I think I like the flaming pinball in the girl picture better, but would have to see it without the girl.

The flaming logo is the same except the colors are different and the direction the colors are going. I will change the color on the Logo without the pinup girl to resemble the original design.

It also looks like the pinball is at the edge of the flames with the girl, but the one without the girl the pinball is in the flames. I did notice the colors as well and preferred the more blue color with the girl rather than the more purple without the girl. Just one persons opinion.

yes the pinball in the pinup girl is larger and I think it needs to be larger in the logo without the pinup girl.

If you were from Providence, Rhode island I would do pinup girl with big balloons. Otherwise take it off

    #16 6 years ago

No pin up. Looks more family friendly and cuz MERICA!

Added a third van image, Redid the logo with original colors. Enlarged the silverball and added a flipper bat. Going to take my time on this, it's important I get the images right.

    #18 6 years ago

I would find a way to move the website address up from the bottom of the image. People will be in cars driving by and their field of vision will be blocked by other vehicles. Their ability to look down near the bottom of the van will be limited.

Although I like boobs as much as the next guy, I think the first one is going to be the best choice. The last one with the flipper just looks weird for some reason, but that's just my opinion and we all know what they say about opinions.....

    #20 6 years ago

Third one with no flipper. It looks off. It might be the yellow doesn't go with the rest of the layout. White might look better, but my guess is any flipper will look off. I do like the flaming pinball image in the third picture though. I would stick with that.

No boobs. Many pins can't make it into homes because of boobs so don't reinforce that with your van.

Also why bother doing a full wrap when you have just a bunch of random text floating around? Include a background texture, something to tie it all together.

And take a parallel, side-on straight reference photo of the van for future iterations.

    Ben,

Thanks for the input, yeah we are going to put some texture in. Text placement will change as well as font, boobs are out!!!! I'm just trying to get a feel for the general layout and color pallet, so I can give this to the graphic designer and say to them this is what I want and have them take it to the next level. Unfortunately, I have my artistic limitations.

    Thanks,

    Mike

No flipper on the side, but yes on the back. Make it white instead of yellow to go with the "American" theme.

I feel like the company name and URL should be on the driver and passenger doors as well.

Thanks Wolfmarsh, I agree and plan to change the flipper color to White

    #25 6 years ago

Can you make the word "pinball" larger? It is the main keyword of your business.

    #26 6 years ago

okay thanks to the help of Erik @ Stern he did some few tweaks that I like. I also added white flipper bats and yellow flipper bats.

Again thanks for all the input

I like the pinup girl logo. A little offensive to some? Maybe. But that's a small percentage of the demographic you're catering to.

It will get noticed with the pinup girl. Without, no so much.

You could have a badass wizard sitting on the ball too. Just looks a little plain to me with the ball and flipper bats

    #29 6 years ago

I'd go with design #1 but I'd shrink the logo and put it on the door plus expand the name with "Pinball" being at least as large as Great American with your URL under it.

When I glance at your current designs, I see American and the logo. Neither portray your message very well. The current logo doesn't say pinball to me. None of the design ideas have pictures of the products (pinball + arcades) you sell.

I'm not an Ad guy but as they say "a picture is worth a thousand words."

    Good luck!

    #30 6 years ago

I'd change the entire design to look like the weiner mobile. No body can resist a good hot dog.

With two giant pinballs on the tail end of course.

No pin-up girl though - keep it family friendly!

    No Boobs.

Quoted from benheck:No boobs. Many pins can't make it into homes because of boobs so don't reinforce that with your van.

Agree with no boobs. Two flippers re-enforces what pinball is to some who have no clue. I wish you were in my market!

What are you trying to say Chris? lol

I like the one WITH the girl-but I'd go without her on the wrap..........more 'family' friendly. The creepy old guy will still want to buy the pin-regardless of what the delivery van looks like.

No flames (other than around the pinball)??

    #34 6 years ago

I don't think family friendly or politically correct really has any place in pinball at all. But that's just my opinion, man.

    #35 6 years ago

you guys are killing me. Keep the pinup girl. Seriously. If someone finds that image offensive, then chances are they wouldn't be a customer to begin with. I could totally u derstand it being offensive if she was naked and hiding her breasts or all out nude but come on. She has a skimpy top on and is showing some cleavage. Heck have any of you guys that think he needs to keep it family friendly not been to your local high school recently? Or turned on the news and seen the latest weather girl?

I'm sick of all of this "be careful we don't want to offend anyone." Toughen up for goodness sakes!!

    End of rant!

Keep the girl or put some hot muscle head with his pecs all puffed out right next to her so the soccer moms won't be offended!!

    #36 6 years ago

Disagree. My wife would be far less enthusiastic for my new purchase delivers with a van and a half naked (and honestly not my definition of hot girl) pic on the side. If you want to sell to people who don't know pinball make a choice that reflects everyone- trust me, I appreciate a women's form as much as anyone- and I am certain that overt sexuality has a place- just not on the side of a van that sells retail items to families and to women (they buy games too ya know).

    #37 6 years ago

As much as I like the pinup girl, I don't recommend it on the side of the truck for basically all of the reasons stated. The risk vs reward is too high.
I prefer the blue flame as it ties in with the America name.
I do not like any of the flippers but if you have to have them, one flipper looks better than two here IMO. And white is better than yellow.
Pinball needs to be bigger than American. Are you selling great pinball Americans?
