To the critics of this enjoyable thead: Even though I was there to witness this tragedy up close and personal (only a number of yards away!), I think a pinball discussion thread will never be this serious. I come here on Pinsides to enjoy myself and help forget all the tragedy that has already affected me. A tragic pinball design thread is very low on my list of concerns. I don't think there will be a "Flugtag '88" pinball being made anytime soon. JMHO. Playing pinball is a great way for me to have fun and forget the day to day worries of life. Yes, I will restate that I still think Warlok is a great pin design, but majorly flawed in the theme and artwork.

Maybe tragic isn't the word, but I can't believe no one has said NASCAR in this thread. I haven't played the game enough to comment on it, but I guess "people driving in circles around a Walmart parking lot" cost too much for Stern to license?

+2 I admit, there's a number of pins I haven't played that were mentioned, so I cannot comment on those. If a pin looks ugly, but plays great? Who cares? You're having the time of your life!

Reminds me of this:

oh no

Care to elaborate? My example I posted earlier fits this thread. I really dislike the looks of Warlok, but the way it plays makes it a great early Williams SS pin.

i just wanted an excuse to post that gif... It's for all great game bad themes out there.

Quoted from tilt-master:

Flintstones........ I'm convinced if the pin was an alternate theme, it would be a $3K game...great pin, terrible theme.

For most of these cartoon or comic book to bad movie to pinball themes, they should have done what they did with JD - skip the bad movie. A classic Flintstones pin would be pretty cool.
