I'm highly anticipating the next Vault Edition.

There are several Stern titles I would like to buy and every time a decent used one becomes available I have the dilemma, do I wait for a VE or buy used (let's face it you can't beat a NIB, but how long?) ?

Personally I would love to see Tron next, but would also be very tempted to buy LOTR or TSPP.

I put the 9 titles with the highest rating up to 2011 in the poll.

#3 8 years ago

I think the masses want LOTR & Tron the most. Probably SM & TSPP after that.

I'd love to see a Tron Premium VE, but I'm not counting on it.

#4 8 years ago

AC/DC Luci, with full speaker artwork. Yeah they just ran them not long ago, but I need one now.

#5 8 years ago

Spiderman Vault with new comic artwork (no movies) seems to be next.... just waiting on the announcement.

RBION. Not the people's choice I imagine, but this would kickass.

#8 8 years ago

I still would like to play "24". All these years, and I never have found one to play. Would not mind a 24ve so we can get more of that title out there.

#9 8 years ago

LOTR would be most welcome here.

I want to see FreeFall re-released.

I believe Tron is most likely. However if Spike will Eli mod work?

I think Gary said at TPF....any systems prior to SPIKE for a VE....will have the SAM system

That would have been my vote if I didn't already have one.

Spider-Man!
Stern likes to vault games that cost a lot, so they can offer brand new ones for a cheaper cost than what normal ones sell for.
Just like the Iron Man, the originals were also in the 5k range just like Spider-Man is, and then IM was vaulted

#17 8 years ago

I struggled to sell my single owner HUO Tron with over $700 in mods for $5k.

I don't think Stern would offer the arcade or the ramp lights with the VE. Which after shipping would set people back to $5500. I'm not sure the market can sustain that many.

Also, if they were planning on doing it soon, they'd have some decals on hand. I ordered some from Marcos, and they came with 3 instead of 5, so they contacted Stern who replied, "We don't have any on hand, and we won't have any more in the future".

I would think if Tron 3 came out they would. But I'm beginning to think it's much less likely now.

LOTR and SM seem to be more likely, especially after the whitewood leaks.

Don't get me wrong, I want everyone and my mother to have a Tron pinball machine! I think they should come standard with birth! But I just don't know if there is a big enough operator demand for the machine, which is what seemed to be the tipping point for IM (collector cost was through the roof as well). Every operator I've talked to or read about having Iron Man on location said that it earns very well with very little maintenance.

According to Instagram post from Stern, it looks like TRON VE is next.

#19 8 years ago

I'd like tspp with SAM but think it'd be priced higher than a IM or Tron also going from Whitestar to SAM don't know how likely tspp will be.

SM very much interested if they change to comic art, but need to change the voices etc.. Or would it be a straight re-release of the old movie and art from old game?

I'd be interested in a comic art and sell my original SM.

#20 8 years ago

According to the Facebook post....maybe a re-skinned Tron based on the original movie? That would be cool.

LotR and Tron = must have for me ... so let's hope they are not coming

LOTR and TRON will not happen ever ever ever. id bet a machine against anyone if you beg to differ. we can give it , say, a 2 or 3 year time period. if a vault lotr or tron machine is produced, you win my game, if no machine is produced, i get your game. easy enough.
pm me if you want to take the challenge.

ps. ill also bet spiderman is the next vault..

Stern probably bought the license for Tron 3, disney pulled it, now they have to come up with a VE legacy or a original?

#25 8 years ago

I would say none of the above. They are all good titles, but they aren't hard to find in good condition on the collector market. I would rather the small run games be an option (won't happen) or some much older games.

#26 8 years ago

tspp

#27 8 years ago

TSPP with updated flippers

#28 8 years ago

Wheel Of Fortune. Buy the licence, finish the code, then release a VE to cover the costs. They might not make money on the deal- in fact there's a good chance they'd make a loss- but the exercise would generate consumer goodwill that would lead to improved sales in the future.

#29 8 years ago

If they come out with Spiderman, I'm going to buy one.

#30 8 years ago

I will buy Tron or Lotr......but i think spiderman is coming.

#31 8 years ago

Looks like Spider-Man with line art based on the comic books. Smart move.

#32 8 years ago

I would like to vote for more than one as I would buy more than one.

#33 8 years ago

LOTR VE. Only because I want one.

#34 8 years ago

Happy for a LOTR VE next year....can recover from possible KISS or other pin purchase this year.

#35 8 years ago

I would likely buy a Spiderman or Tron if released. I wanted LOTR so bad that I just recently bought a used one rather than wait on the VE. RBION is another game on my wish list, but I doubt that would happen.

Looking for a RBION, eh?

#37 8 years ago

LOTR VE would be my first choice based on game play, incredible depth, and just a terrific game. Next would be very close for me between TSPP and SM. If POTC could be done with better call outs including things from the movies and audio would love that, but don't believe that would happen.
I guess SM is going to be rebooted ago which I wonder how many times that's going to happen and personally I didn't care for the last two movies and felt especially the first one was a lamer repeat of the first modern SM movie.

#38 8 years ago

I would buy LOTR and Tron if VE's are made

#39 8 years ago

I'd be very tempted by a comic inspired Spider man VE. Id be jealous my Iron Man VE wasn't also comic inspired. That art is going to look so sick.

Close try Batman.
