Sorry for the neophyte question. Wondering which shows to attend where you can buy pins. Before everyone jumps down my back, I'm taking the overwhelming advice to play and love a pin before buying it. Thank you...

I went to the MGC last year and bought two pins. They had a good selection and decent prices. I would not hesitate to do it again.
Not sure where you are, but Pinball at the Zoo in Kalamazoo usually has several pins for sale on the free play floor and a few in the auction.
Allentown had about 250 machines on free play last year and most were for sale. I live in Bethlehem and work in Allentown. I will probably bring 3 or so, but only interested in selling my Sharp Shooter (which has all new boards in it). I will lose my shirt on that one, but it was a HARD lesson learned. If you would like to look at some stuff I am friends with the Ivan who runs the show. I have bought many pins from him and he supports what he sells. If you want to chat more for local stuff to the valley shoot me a PM.

Especially Sunday. Some go quick but you can always find a deal later at MGC. Plus it is a fun time! Host hotel is sold out of rooms but there are others close by. http://www.midwestgamingclassic.com/location/

Yeah, it seems like people who know my tastes altogether too well find me Sunday morning to convince me to buy machines.
The grand irony I find of running the show is that to play the games at the show, drag them home and set them up.
Picked up Airborne last year.
