Hi,

I would like to remove the top of a Dr Dude backbox.

Although I have a Facom set with US size, I find no matching tool which fits to the screws.

Can someone help me with this ?

Thanks in advance

Your tool set may just not include the proper size. I purchased a set for my VW, found plenty of use for it on pins:

It did have the correct size.

I believe it is a T-25 torx bit with a “safety” hole in the center.

Yup, it might need a set of those security bits to get that bad boy off. Luckily you can get those pretty cheap now days.

Tamperproof Torx T-20 bit. Harbor Freight sells a set of "security" bits which has it.

Thanks a lot to all of you, I ll reorder a complete set of torx.

yup tamper proof ones are sold at all hardware stores nowadays.

+1 for the harborfreight set.

These things don't need to cost a ton, buy them as cheap as possible.

You'll lose the bit before you break it.

No sense in buying the big brand name o es anhmore as they also are made in china. Probably at the same factory that the cheap ones are made at.

Walmarr sells a nice torx set (all sizes in 1) as well. I paid 5 bucks for it.

I am discovering that Walmart(s) are starting to carry a nice line up of tools. Obviously, Wally does not carry everything Harbor Freight carries but what it does have is priced competitively with HF. Plus, there is Walmart in almost any small city and smaller towns around the country.
