I get 1 month younger everytime I read a post in this thread.

By nightfall, I'll be back in high school again.

    Scooby-Doo
    Rocky Horror Picture Show
    Willy Wonka
and why not, The Marx Brothers

That's the point! We deserve it just as much as those 80s children.

I can't believe I got this far in without suggesting this:

I think there is plenty of potential in the theme and if they actually get the live action film done the pin even makes sense

    #155 8 years ago

Yeah, how did you miss that one Race?

    #156 8 years ago

I used to run home from kindergarden to watch this.

Favorite episode was the Dr. Zin one where a sphere (this could be a pinball - hmmm...) opened up into a giant spy spider that stole secrets from a gov't base.

The invisible monster was my 2nd favorite episode.

Thst would be one pimped out pin ... think of the mods you could do

    #161 8 years ago

All in gold trim and crushed velvet of course.

    #162 8 years ago

Can't take credit for originally thinking of this theme on Pinside, but damn ... think of the possibilities!

Totally agree on "The Robot Spy"

I've been trying since before TWD came out. Seemed to garner acknowledgement with 40th anniversary but fizzled. Guess WWE was a better idea.

    #173 8 years ago

    Catch-22
    Blazing Saddles
    Star Wars Episode IV

The Who and The Clash were both still around in the 80s, do they still count?

Good choice to re-theme a Rollergames.

Damn, I was going to buy JQ ('64-'65 season) from Amazon, then decided to do a library check out, but am on a waiting list.

Now I am chompin' at the bit.

That's a unique idea for a pin and a great movie.

Maybe other Hitchcock films as well ...

    Vertigo
    Psycho
    The Birds

    #178 8 years ago

Blazing Saddles. Now what if, instead of CCC, we had CCBZ. That game would be really funny with an alt translight and some farting and horse punching in the DMD. Maybe a whip this out Match sequence at the end!

    My more serious pick...

    image_(resized).jpegimage_(resized).jpeg

    #183 8 years ago

    1960's: Planet of the Apes
    1970's: Scooby-Doo
1980's: Nothing better than Ghostbusters can be done
    1990's: Pee-Wee's Playhouse
    2000's: Futurama

    #184 8 years ago

    Battlestar Galactica -- 1980s

    "By Your Command"

    #185 8 years ago

Scarface could be better than Sopranos.

Have a Banana boat car on the playfield. How did you get those beauty scars?

Babylon club scene. Hotel scene was epic with a chainsaw on the playfield

I think it would be better to go with the original- The Gumball Rally. Then we could move on to Death Race 2000.

DR2000..i was just scrolling through the posts to see if I could be the first to suggest it. Another good one for sure.

    #188 8 years ago

I'd like to see the Princess Bride (written in 1973) and Army of Darkness. So many good quotes in both of them.

Hitchcock would be great. Instead of drawing from just one movie, it would be cool to draw from all of them or from the tv series that was kind of like TZ. Something classic would be nice instead of usual pop culture themes.

    #192 8 years ago

    Mad Max or BattleStar Galactica

    #193 8 years ago

Comedy horror please, particularly if it involves Stephen King and/or George A Romero.

The chimp looks so cute until it rips your face off.. too soon?

    #196 8 years ago

    The Crow

How exactly has no one mentioned a Bruce Lee Pinball machine? I would be all over that. I could dig The Crow too. Have martial arts and pinball ever crossed paths? Why not?

    bruce_(resized).jpgbruce_(resized).jpg

    #199 8 years ago

I think an obvious choice which could have some insane modes would be Inspector Gadget. The original cartoon launched in 1983. You can go-go-gadget anything! Dr.Claw mode of some sort. Penny and the Brain... The possibilities are endless

One of my dream themes-Mission Impossible with tons of hurry ups. The music alone makes this theme worthy.
