Quoted from Shiny_balls:I'm watching "The Eighties" on CNN tonight......good show.
Sorry Odin
Probably easier on your stomach than watching "Monsters Inside Me".
Quoted from Hougie:Never mind. I was drunk posting. Carry on!
I'll be right with you as soon as I can.
How about a Sid & Marty Krofft pin? The themes could cover among others, Land of the Lost, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, Wonderbug, Bigfoot and Wildboy, Banana Splits and H.R. Pufnstuf to name a few.

Quoted from o-din:90s were better than the 80s anyway. Keep em comin!
Ok then...
Heavy Metal, the cartoon art is all over the map. Have 8 great '80's songs from the movie and getting the Loc Nar would be a Super Bonus 1 Billion points. Of course the pin probably be rated R for the art and language though.
Currently watching The Matrix. Can't help but think this would have made a awesome pin.
80s themes. Dukes of Hazzard, Jaws, Blues Brothers
Quoted from MustangPaul:Who's that???
I made this post on the Aerosmith thread and then it went dead. Did I do something wrong?
Quoted from o-din:Toys in the Attic
Rats in the Cellar
Train Kept a Rollin
Uncle Salty
Spaced
Round and Round
Lord of The Thighs
Sick as a Dog
Nobody's Fault
SOS (Too Bad)
Kings and Queens
Sweet Emotion
Dream On
And of course-

Love the 80s but I was thinking a Big Bang theory pin would be awesome. Would also love a breaking bad pin
Quoted from o-din:I edited the thread title to make it clear. Carry on...
Oh yes it's 80's night and the feeling's right
Oh yes it's 80's night, oh what a night, oh what a night!

Oh yes it's 80's night, oh what a night
Sorry Old-n but the 80's are as hard to squash as you.
The 1980's was a special era and I think we have more to look forward to in terms of potential titles.
Wish I could turn back time....to the good ol' days
Jaws-to appease the masses
BTTF
Predator-For real this time
Beetlejuice
Goonies
Die Hard
Jumanji
Titles I would like to see but do not have enough mass appeal are The Lost Boys, Big Trouble in Little China, Raising Arizona, Never Ending Story and Little Shop of Horrors.
A classic movie that I think would have mass appeal...
Quoted from o-din:I made this post on the Aerosmith thread and then it went dead. Did I do something wrong?
Yeah, you left out Last Child
Best era of their music, IMO.
Quoted from ltd73:An A Team game would be pretty cool too.
The problem with this is you'd never hit anything.
With the long-term success that Ghostbusters is sure to have, I really do hope that this will open up more opportunities for classic titles to be made. I asked Trudeau about his thoughts on this at TPF and he seemed to think that it would certainly be considered... So that would be awesome!
I think Back to the Future is a prime candidate for being revisited and Stern has the means of doing it the right way now compared to the DE version. They would likely be able to work out any of the licensing and likeness issues they dealt with the first time around.
As far as a classic title that's never been made though, I have to second Pinmister's suggestion of Beetlejuice! It's one of those films/themes that is just like Ghostbusters in terms of it having all the right elements to make a very complete pinball experience! The character designs, art direction, sound effects, music, dialogue, etc. are all great for making a game fun. It's also got the right balance between horror and comedy that have allowed The Addams Family and Ghostbusters to translate so well to the format.
While the brand and its international appeal isn't as widespread as Ghostbusters is, I still think Beetlejuice has a ton of potential, especially if they can time it with the sequel that has been in-development. Just imagine Zombie Yeti artwork combined with the Beetlejuice & Tim Burton designs....pure magic!
If Ghostbusters is as big of a seller as it seems like it's going to be, I think Beetlejuice is a solid candidate for a retro release!
Good stuff here but none really calling me. I like the risk of something different with Full Throttle. A modern skateboarding theme seems good with the obvious ramps and such. A reasonable attempt at a Division one NCAA sport of some type.
Alien makes sense because the franchise has been kept alive by mostly crap/guilty pleasure sequels. As much as they are trying to avoid saying it, Ghostbusters new movie will help boost the old franchise in public awareness.
I would really enjoy a military theme, but politics won't allow it to "be all it can be".
Quoted from pinmister:The 1980's was a special era
I made money, got laid, and the country was run by an actor. Big deal! It wasn't all that special. Only to you young wippersnappers that missed the real fun in the 70s and 60s.
o-din I hate to bring this up because it's 80s but make sure to try to catch "Everybody Wants Some" that should open limited today
Quoted from o-din:How bout a movie from the 90s about the 70s. It was pretty much spot on. McConaughey was a lot cooler in this flick than he is in those Lincoln ads he does now.

Now that's perfect ... Dazed & Confused ... Class of '76 & fits my high school to a tee ...
All right, all right, all right ......

If you were in high school in the mid 70s then you get it. Dog Town and Z Boys...

McConaughey now advertises Lincolns while rolling boogers ...

Those ads are creepy.
