This thread was inspired by Stern posting their history on their facebook page. If you didn't take into account price or work to make the game on a modern platform, which theme would be one you would be interested in seeing reissued by Stern?

I included King Kong because it's a public domain character that wouldn't need to be licensed and I would have included Grand Prix but there was no room.

None of the games are home runs like MMR or IM but I wouldn't mind seeing the old DE games again. If the price was maybe around Pro pricing (or less ) I could see buying a Time Machine or Torpedo Alley. The game I'd really like to see is King Kong because I'm a big fan of the character and love the art on the game.

I guess King Kong just because it's rare...I don't need any of these things remade though...waste of time.

These games are the reason Stern doesn't do non-licensed themes anymore. Enough said...

Where is none? Stern has made some good games and yeah some of these are fun in their own way, but not really worth revisiting.

I should have put none.

There's never enough Striker Extremes around so definitely that one.

I was hoping to see titles like:

Catacomb
StarGazer
SeaWitch
Iron Maiden
Viper

+1 for Viper.

Hell, even just the Backglass

Me too. But King Kong is fun, and has a great mirrored backglass. So I voted for that.

King Kong looks fun, I'd love to play it. High Roller Casino isn't too bad.

Sharkey's is actually a licensed game..

No one wants to buy those old game new. I mean iron maiden is being remade as a real game by stern. If those relics were considered good, no one would consider iron maiden again and point to that thing as "it's already done".

Sounds like a blanket statement and statistically unproven.

I didn't realize that Stern's Iron Maiden wasn't a "real game". Not one to down-vote too often, but you just scored one.

Is Sharkey's licensed? I know it has Jeanette Lee's name on the backglass but if you took that off, you really wouldn't know she was on there.

Everybody wants to see the classic Sterns remade, me included, but I wondered if there were any interest in the games they actually count as part of their history. I think a lot of new players have never seen those early DE games and am curious if they could sell a couple hundred of them. I was watching the INDISC tourney and the commentators were talking about Torpedo Alley and how it's such an interesting and fun game and one of the guys had never played it. I've never played Time Machine but I love the theme and the sounds and I could see myself buying one if they remade it.

Yeah, true. It certainly wouldn't be hard to take her off and make it unlicensed. I think (but I could be wrong) that Jeanette Lee's voice is in the game and would have to be re-recorded as well.

Oh. I didn't know that. They could just use the Golden Cue version but that might be licensed with the Golden Tee guys.

I would want Catacomb and Star Gazer, why are they not on the list?

Stern doesn't count those as part of their history. It makes me wonder who owns the rights to those classic Sterns or the Gameplan pins.

Torpedo Alley is awesome and incredibly rare, I would love to see more of them be out there. I feel the same way about HRC.
