Quoted from beefzap:Dr Who. The sound got old real fast
I won’t even play a pin that is near Dr Who I hate the sound so much.
Wow! These are some incredible pins you guys were happy to see go!
I guess this is why they call it "first world problems."
Lol
Quoted from dasvis:I won’t even play a pin that is near Dr Who I hate the sound so much.
Totally 100% agree the music and sfx and horrendous vocal-cords-through-the-sink-disposal starts to grate on the nerves. Fortunately there is Pinsound to make the game sound as great as it plays!

Now that is too funny!
Quoted from cottonm4:Which raises a question. What kind of sales pitch...ahhh....presentation do you make to your prospective buyer when you are trying to unload the beast?
Do you just shut up and cross your fingers and let your prospect talk his way into buying it?
Do you blather on about how you are out of space?
If you are lucky, you are the only one in the world who does not like this pin and plenty of others want to own it. TOM might be a good example here.
If your luck ran out, you just happened to be the last buyer who did not know how crappy the pin was and you are desperately hoping for one more buyer to show up. Referred to as Greater Fool theory. Or maybe a little bit of Caveat Emptor...Buyer Beware .... Perhaps Raven could be placed here
Do you feel relief, or guilt, after it is gone? Do we employ a little bit of Lenny Bruce and accept that "a man is as honest as he can afford to be"
You get the idea
The game itself is actually not a bad design layout. The game is fairly deep and hard to beat every country. I didn’t mind the Aussie announcer but people have been driven crazy by him.
The problem is everything on it feels very cheap and junky.
You def need a soccer nut or someone who wants a row of soccer games.
My european buddy thought it was great til he played wcs94 lol.
It went to a soccer person as that’s the only way they seem to sell.
I don’t know if I could bring myself to pay even 500 for a nice one.
It’s sad really.
Ripley's Believe it or Not for me. I know people say code is deep, etc, etc.....but the damn game is just boring! A real snoozer!
i've sold probably 2% of what i've grabbed over the last 18ish years...
but Data East Simpsons...could not be happier when STI picked that beeotch up to go to nevada.
Didn't dump it quick but definitely didn't stay in the playable line up until I finally sold High Roller Casino...
Did sell Arena pretty quick. Not 90's though.
Monster Bash. Beautifully restored copy with an NOS playfield I held on to for 15 years in case I ever got the game. What a stunning piece of art it was when it was done. Pained me to sell but it just felt too shallow and repetitive (and I have a SS and Creature). Sold after 4 months to make room for AMH.
AMH - fun game, but my wife just didn’t like it. Sold after 6 months if I remember correctly.
Honorable mention to The Hobbit. Sold it before I took delivery.
I haven't sold many but I miss each one a little bit. Didn't shed any tears when Shaq Attaq went though.
Judge Dredd. Liked it when I played in in a bar, many many years ago. Wanted one badly. Got it and within hours could not wait to get rid of it. Glad that its gone.
Wait, I didn't realize I could actually sell a game after it entered in my collection. Please don't tell my wife.
Houdini. Such a beautiful looking game, awesome theme, and decent code (straight jacket multi-ball). The geometry was so off on this game it was a shame, should've been a wide body. I love the magic theme, but just could not get into the play of those ridiculous tight shots.
TSPP left fast. Call outs were terrible. Never got the love everyone puts on this game. Deep code on a nails on the chalkboard game - no thanks.
NIB X-Men LE also left fast based on call outs. "Here's an exxxxtraaaa baaaaaallll" Magneto voice still in my head. The voice actor call outs ruined a fun layout. Don't get me started on Beast or Storm. My stomach still hurts thinking about it.

Agree on the X-Men call outs.
They make me cringe every time.
The Hobbit. Great looking and sounding pin, but troll overuse makes for stop-and-go gameplay on an already slow layout. Also, the code is deep, but repetitive. I felt like I was playing the same modes over and over again.
Quoted from jorge5240:CSI! I bought one because my wife loved the show. Game was so slow and really not much to do.
They should have done CSI Miami. The original show sucks.
Circus Voltaire. I really liked to play it occasionally on location about 20 years ago, but once I got it home it lost its appeal quickly.
