Im ordering a new crimper from tme.eu, and at the same time I was thinking of buying two external power supplies to add to my WCS and JP for running led strips and other mods.

But which one should I buy?

Searching for "power supply 5v 12v" gives me lots of hits and im not sure which one would be sufficient for what im going to use it for.

    Anyone?
What seems to differ between them (well, exept the prices) are the diffrent specs of watt and amps.

Rockcustompinball.com just came out with one. I’ve tried pc designs, too messy. This one looks plug and play.

Scroll down until you see the ‘Game On Power Supply’. It’s brand new on his website.

Mine arrives later this week for my TZ.

Yes, that one will work. You'll need to supply AC power to it.

That much I know, but what would be the best way to do that?

Could I just strip an old power cord and use the service outlet?

No, you don't want to use thee service outlet, as that has power all the time. Your led's and mods would never turn off.

You can tap into the wires running from the service box to the transformer, since these will be switched on/off with the machine. Identify the hot/neutral/ground and strip some of the insulation off (don't cut the wire). You can then loop the exposed wire around the correct terminal on the new power supply.

Make sure to secure your new power supply to the cabinet, so it doesn't move.

PM me if you need more clarification.

Agreed. Go with this solution. It's already in a kit, and easy to install.
