Hi

For a Williams Stellar Wars, how do I know which diode is needed on a switch. The right top spinner is missing the diode, and is flagged in diagnostic #37 as a problem. Previous owner ran a straight wire instead of diode. I don't see anywhere in the schematic what the diode part is.

1n4004 or 1n4007 are good general purpose replacements for any switch matrix diodes

zacaj thanks, so that would apply to Bally early solid state as well I assume.

Yes

I keep a stock of 1n4007s on hand. They're a beefier version of 1n4004s and can be used anywhere the 1n4004 (or lower) can.

So the 1n4007 diode can be used on flipper assemblies, (coils), as well as lamps? This is for a Williams system 11A, Pinbot.

Yeah. It's higher specced than normal coil diodes, but that's okay. Coils, lamps, switches
