I swear somebody did this. Start trek and TWD Were heavy favorites. But I'm failing at finding the thread now.
Here is the new poll.

It's time for Who Dunnit to get some attention. I won't be able to solve this murder till its in color.
Still waiting for Stern Star Trek.
The dots are good for transition and the code has been done for quite some time now.

While both are true, the complexity and sheer number of animations and independent sprites make this a bear to color.

The light show with the latest code is great and the ColorDMD would put a nice bow on it.

A new Stern game code update first would be even better.

I doubt anyone wants to touch it until Stern releases another game code release.

I hear ya. I have the LCD Sigma installed for a year now. Just need the color file, whenever that is.Sigma Indy 500 (resized).png

I second Black Rose and Stargate!
Does anyone have a feel for how many hours it would take to colorize games like these?

Yes, there is no such thing as an easy game. Anything with player controlled video can be real special fun.

Procedurally generated stuff in recent games is a huge PITA too. Maybe not player controlled, but just as much work because of dynamic layered parts.

I thought you liked challenges.

Sure. It's just taking forever. Several changes have been made to the underlying system to keep up with this damn game.

And a better product is the result. I look forward to your next color release. SMVE looks awesome! SM was pretty great as well.

I get that. I also get that it probably varies from game to game. So how many hours are we talking to color a game? Is it in the 10 hour ballpark? 100 hours? 1000?

With the Bly/Wms games 100 is probably a good starting guess. Definitely more if you're new and getting used to the tools and issues. Probably close to that mark for those guys that had done a bunch from the era. I have no idea about difficulties in newer games with video clips.

Do either of you have a Sigma LED display installed into Black Rose? If you did you could enjoy any of the single colors you choose it to be until the game is colorized.
Quoted from Psw757:Star Wars Trilogy would be a good add for color dmd.
You can install a Sigma LED display now and enjoy any of the single colors you choose it to be until the game is colorized.

Great...thanks for the info!

I don't. I tend not to buy them until the game I'm buying for has been colored.

I have yet to purchase a one but when they make a decent color DMD for Avatar I'll be first on the list.
