I just ordered a base display for my TZ. I'm pretty sure they will release the color ROM for it by the end of the year and I want to have it waiting for the ROM instead of having so many people buy one for TZ that they temporarily run out of displays (as they sometimes have in the past). I think I'll try TZ in white until they make the color conversion program for it. And as for the remaining pins in my game room?

If they ever do WHOdunnit I'll buy one for sure!
I'd probably buy one for Stern Playboy if they offer it.
Doubt they'll ever do BBB, so I guess that will always be amber.
Hard to see them doing Stern Mustang BOSS premium, since it has different dots (Boss cars) than the pro or LE.

I love the Color DMD I put in my TAF. It is my first try with it and I love how easy it it to make the changes in how it displays from "Cartoonish" to Dots to 8 bits. Great product!

#204 4 years ago

please no! it would be for sure the nail in the coffin for my decision to finally buy this pin after all

#205 4 years ago

Someone needs to find a way for these to be made in dmd size. That way CV - Cirqus Voltaire can be done. What better title is just dying for a color DMD.

I know , I know it doesn't fit. Someone make one that does!!!!!!

Please

It will? That would be great!

TFTC would look great. Such great animations and gore!

Actually I think Gilligan's Island has a mounting issue also.

I know it will be a challenge to get a ColorDMD into Capcom games. I sure hope someone finds a solution.

There is one less on the list of games waiting colorizing now that The Shadow has been announced.

So can Big Bang Bar take The Shadow's place on the list now?

Has ColorDMD said they can do Capcom games? I can add them to the list if they can do them.

#217 4 years ago

I don't think it supports the Sega games with the 194x64 pixel DMDs "yet" but you list Baywatch, Batman Forever, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

I would included Capcom games. The thread is about "What do you want".

#218 4 years ago

Kiss for sure man

I'm not sure what would be involved with it, but it might be fun to try

I have seen the term insanity thrown around a lot lately from the guys that have done colorizing.
The colorizing process certainly does not sound easy.

Too soon in the software life-cycle.

I don't need more insanity

#225 4 years ago

Is there a software or licensing issue with colorizing a Data East Star Wars? I'm surprised that title hasn't come up more often in discussions. Since the 20th Anniversary update this game is so much better then before!

Also, Kiss is all video footage.

I'm afraid to say that Rocky & Bullwinkle is unlikely to get the ColorDMD treatment any time soon.

I've heard back directly from Randy and the problem is that the LCD panel display they use is too big to fit in the R&B backbox without fouling the area where the solenoids for the Hat Trick Animation are located.

So this basically puts it in the same camp as Cirqus Voltaire. Until they can find a smaller LCD panel that will work with their driver board then R&B owners are SOL.

Also, Kiss is all video footage.

That's why is should all be replaced with clips from the Scooby-Doo episode -

#230 4 years ago

I too would like to see TftC colorized

#233 4 years ago

Another pinball magic vote for me. It would be tricky, possibly involving finding a custom sized LCD, but this game is practically begging for color! Plus I own one so that helps too! I know there's some big ballers on this forum but I'm not one of them lol. 400 bucks isn't something that I can usually just play around with, but if it became availible, I wouldn't hesitate!

Tron and Avengers please

Latest hint from ColorDMD

Borg.jpg

#237 4 years ago

w000000t

would make me very happy if this hint is so blunt as I hope it to be

You mean that it is in a "Park" like a theme park - "Roller Coaster Tycoon"!!!

#239 4 years ago

Tesseract?

#240 4 years ago

Looks Borgish. Not going to get my Avenger hopes up

#241 4 years ago

They never make the clues obvious. X-Men still seems to be the most likely to me. (Borg designed it.)

#243 4 years ago

Transformers Allspark?

#244 4 years ago

That's what it looks like but it's just to obvious for ColorDMD clues.

Hoping it is XMEN or Avengers.

#245 4 years ago

Here was the first clue

#246 4 years ago

X-men did take place at an academy (school), and the first clue seemed to be a 'back to school' clue...

Sure seems like XMen. Very happy for you owners

Agree. Has to be X-Men

#249 4 years ago

How does the latest clue tie into XMEN?

Borg designed it and that's a Borg cube there.
