Quoted from pezpunk:A sitcom seems like a pretty inert subject for a pinball machine. There's a reason most pins are based on action-oriented properties and activities.
Yeah, we know that.
Quoted from taz:I see lots of risk with the prooosed pin titles in the poll. Maybe Cheers could work or the Fonz could carry Happy Days, I don’t know. If made, I can’t imagine any of these sitting in my game room. Television shows made into pins over the past 10-15 years have been very hit or miss.
- TSPP & GoT did well.
- CSI & 24 did not (though pinball was down in general when these were released).
- I liked Sopranos but I don’t know how well it sold.
I know the samples above aren’t all comedies, but I don’t think that necessarily matters. Now, go grab some real nostalgia like BM66 and Munsters and they’ll probably sell well. Choosing among these would probably be a tough decision for the pin makers.
Maybe, just maybe this was a light hearted look at shows we enjoyed in the past and aren't 100 percent serious that Stern should get started on them this week.
