Go to Roscoes chicken and waffles for brunch in Long Beach. They are much better.

Quoted from benheck:...A question never asked in the South.
Are we playing Jeopardy now? O.k., I'll take a crack at it.
What is "how many grams of fat are in this here biscuits and gravy?"
Quoted from benheck:...A question never asked in the South.
Doc, What are the chances that me and my sisters baby comes out tarded?
Quoted from o-din:A couple of the employees have been there since the 80s or early 90s.
Oh the humanity! Did you notice multiple scars across their wrists?
On a lighter note, for a taco joint, they do make a mean double bacon cheeseburger and crinkle cut Fries. Remember when Carl's Jr. made crinkle cut Fries deep fried in animal lard? Oh, they were the best.

Before I get ejected by the snowflake, California hating, moderators from the South, let me just clarify that I am just joking. R-E-L-A-X.
Wasn't a fan of Pup n Taco. My brother worked there and at Hamburger Stand. Hamburger Stand was the worst. 29 cent burgers that tasted like the school cafeteria. I kept telling him to try to get a job at Carl's but nope. He got fired when a customer kept sending his burger back saying it was over cooked. He told him the burgers were so thin that it was impossible not to cook them well done and might have said a few choice words. Think Brad from Fast Times at Ridgemont high. No more free crappy burgers.
Quoted from o-din:Were the burger patties green? Because at my elementary school they sure were!
No, but at my elementary school, the cheese on our Pizza was after a few days. The leftovers were always reheated until they were gone. Cheese turning green was not an issue apparently. They wouldn't throw anything out.
Quoted from girloveswaffles:Oh yeah, i remember those. They had the consistency of a damp sponge (and probably the same flavor). Bet they still had more meat in them than Taco Bell
taco filling had.
I think our school had the same burgers. Looked like and had the consistency of a sponge. The burgers that were leftover were crumbled up the next day and mixed with chili sauce and Fritos and they called it a taco boat. I actually liked the taco boat.
Quoted from jhanley:Same as my school . A lunch ticket was $1.50 a week. Sometimes I can't believe how old I am.
I sold my lunch tickets and used the money at the arcade.
Quoted from o-din:In high school they sent in the day old leftovers from Taco Bell.
Again, that's why we hopped in the car and went to Del Taco or walked to Pup N Taco.
Junior and senior year. Freshmen and sophomores had to hide in the trunk. My nephews were shocked when they heard that we were allowed off campus for lunch. Apparently the kids today have no freedom.
