I have a few games that I would like to add an outlet box to that is powered when the games are switched on. This is so I can plug in some mods using power supplies rather than running them off of the game boards. In particular I have a Scared Stiff and Elvira that I want to do this to. Can anyone tell me where to connect to get switched power to the added outlet? There are a set of black/white wires out of the top of the box where the game switch on is on SS that are just capped. Could these be the wires to use?

I did this with my F-14 to power my subfwoofer when the game switch is turned on.

The black and white wires that come out of the power switch. The black (hot) should be going to your main game fuse. You can test those wires that are capped with a voltmeter/DMM to be certain these are coming from after the switch. I would also recommend that you add a fuse on the black (hot) for the additional outlet box you are adding.

How would I determine fuse size? Just estimate the current drawn by the mods or power supplies I plan and put an in line fuse on the black lead? Just wondering why these black/white wire are there and capped. I thought I read somewhere that they were for a dollar bill acceptor unit. Does that seem right? Thanks for the info.

No, you do not determine the fuse size from the estimated load, it's determined by the wire gauge. You will have to determine what gauge wires those black/white wires are. Since the main fuse is a T4A (4 amp), I would think wire is no more than 19 AWG. I don't have this game so I can only suggest looking at the wire jacket for the size, it might be printed on there. Perhaps another Pinsider can chime in with this information. Here's a useful chart for current carrying capacity of wire:
