My process is;
Inspect the machine inside and out, noting obviously bad or missing parts
Look for loose parts lying inside the cabinet and find out where they go
Get it working 100% (you can skip this step since yours is working)
clean and adjust flipper, pop bumper and sling contacts, this takes practice to get right
adjust any switch contacts that seem too sensitive or insensitive
clean light sockets where needed to avoid flickering
then tackle the PF which means removing & cleaning all PF plastics
and replacing rubbers
polish PF and put in new ball(s)
touch up scuffed cabinet if needed

Go have a beer and enjoy your 'new' pin.
