I have a KISS playfield that I am considering having someone retouch, as I don't think I could pull off the lettering that is worn away and the 'grid' area. I'll attach a pic. I am on the list to be notified on the CPR playfield, but if it was a better use of my money, I'd send this one out.

Can anyone make a wild guess as to what Neo or someone would charge to fix this? What you see is the worst of it, the slightly worn grid and the missing sections on the 40,000 and 80,000.

Also, I assume that Neo, Kruzman, or any of the pros will do a deep cleaning, possibly magic eraser style as part of the restore? Not asking for trade secrets, but I was wondering if you send it in slightly dirty?

    Quoted from kruzman:

That lettering is a muther to repaint. I have a nice repro that I sanded the word "scores" off where it says kiss scores special. I have tried several times to paint it and I cant. obviously it has been sanded so it needs a clear. I will sell it for 575, as it is. Restoring this kiss above will cost a mint unless someone used a overlay or something. remember when you do touch up you have to paint that area of that color, otherwise it is very new paint next very old paint.

Thanks for taking the time to give me your opinion. I'm on the 'list' for CPR and was delighted to see that they have it in the queue. As that could take years to happen, I think I may do what I can with this damaged one, just to push the project along.
