Hope this is the correct forum for this, I could arguably have posted this in several difference forums.

I'm currently shopping for a first pinball machine, but space is at a premium in my house. The available locations would be to squeeze it into somewhere in the main part of the house, put it in a finished/heated garage, or wait until we build an addition in a few years.

The easiest place to fit it currently would be to move things around in the garage, but I don't want to purchase something that would be ruined by having it in a garage. My garage is fairly weather tight, but water does get pushed under the door in a heavy rain, so the pinball machine would be in the back half of the garage. Heated in winter, doesn't get colder than 65.

Am I setting myself up for disaster by hunting for something like a Stern Spiderman, LOTR or Iron Man and putting it in such an environment?

I was going to wait until we constructed an addition/separate garage and put in a bar/gameroom, but I've been playing Pinball Arcade for quite a while, purchased all the tables, and have started searching for pinball machines whenever I'm out of town. The only thing local is a beat up Tee'd Off, but I was able to play Spider Man at a movie theater in Charleston, WV and ended up spending two nights after a conference there and spending somewhere around $30 in quarters.

Seemed like time to just pony up the money and put something in the house.
